So true... with our store's electronic purchases we tell the customer the return policy and then make them sign the bottom of their receipt, where it is also printed, to prove that we explained it to them. It has cut down on the returns..

that's like my company and customers who think they can return their computer 2 yrs later cause it doesn't work anymore, claiming that they were sold a lemon, blah blah blah.....granted my company is a mail order company, but they do it cause they think they are the exception to the rule....its because society has allowed the notion 'the customer is always right' to be taken for granted....not to say that all customers are liars, but ALOT of people think that that saying is true for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING...its sad

then again just blame walmart - they're the ones that allow you to return things whenever, and 50% of the time stuff that they don't even sell! lol

it'll never change though...I've been doing retail related work for almost 20 yrs and the only thing that changes about it is how more arrogant people get about how the company they purchased something from should do something and if they don't they'll be hearing from the customers lawyers.....we all hate lawyers but we'll use them fast when we don't get what WE want or what we expect....sigh I hate to think of what it'll be like when I'm 70 lol
