California Election

.
WhiteGuide's brain can't think further than his asshole.

If the "felon" had the ballots, then he was depriving Governor Newsom of potential votes; considering that Democrats predominantly vote by mail.

If anything, the "felons" actions hurt Governor Newsom. How does that fit with the RWCJ's conspiracy theories???

GTFO

Yes they aren't mind readers. He could have simply filled them out for Newsom and sent them in.

There's nothing in the story to indicate the thief's politics, if any. This is in no way evidence of some Dem vote-rigging conspiracy.

Oh no couldn't be, right? What a dunce. It's so hard to imagine what his possible motives could have been, right? Why he thought they might be valuable enough to keep 300 of them, maybe he just wanted to wall paper in the inside of his car, or maybe use them as toilet paper, right? Why does it matter where he got them, right?

There is nothing to indicate whether he would have cast such ballots for Newsom or Elder.

There is a cold civil war between the left and Americans who love their country as founded. It has to play out as both cannot live peaceably together within our borders. It's either your way or our way, so let's get it on. Winner takes all. You can have your non-productive Antifa types and sympathetic politicians and those cowardly woke corporate leaders. We'll take the productive people who built this country and see what happens, politically.

Yes, as founded. Black people should be back in chains and women shouldn't be able to vote!

Sanctuary states for illegals...... (D) policy is to undermine our democracy, borders and national sovereignty.

Why are you in denial about something (D)'eez are near unanimously proud of??

Most of the true undermining of America comes from the right. And people know it which is why have such a tough time winning elections of any sort where people live. The Senate which gives an advantage it was specially designed not to goes back and forth but the House is pretty much Democrat owned. And if conservative (they were Dems at the time) didn't know it would have just been over we'd have even more representatives. For a bunch of people who claim to give a shit about the Constitution ya'll don't.

At least I can admit that given a chance I'd just through a Constituional Convention and we'd start over, especially with the amendents at least a few of which don't even make sense to keep.

Fact Check: True. The major and mid-sized metro areas are disgusting. Homeless encampments, human feces on sidewalks, crime, riots (aka “peaceful protests”) panhandling, power outages, poor schools, dilapidated roads, high taxes, sanctuary cities, a just-passed statewide ban on single-family zoning, population densification, and a growing public sector pension liability crisis. A very poorly governed state.

I live between several fairly large cities. We've got ONE homeless guy that anybody has ever seen and all he does is dig through the trash gas stations for recyclables. I just back my stuff and give it to him and if I'm feeling generous I might by him a Gatorade or candy bar. There stray cats, no dogs, no needs, no shit, we have a few potholes. I spent years at the heart of San Diego. Whoever keeps telling you these lies just knows how gullible you are.

About a quarter of the nation’s homeless population live in CA.

If you Google “California homeless population” you’ll get pages of stories with all kinds of horrifying stats, but if you live in any major metro area you don’t need Google. You see them everywhere. You can’t not see it. Here’s one of many articles:

https://calmatters.org/explainers/californias-homelessness-crisis-explained/

“And while the problem is most acute in California’s urban centers, homelessness is now a common fixture in many of the state’s suburbs and rural towns.”

“It’s not surprising that California, the largest state, has the biggest homeless population in the country. But while about 1 in 9 Americans lives in California, roughly 1 in 4 homeless Americans lives here.”

“California has the largest proportion of people living without shelter. That means the state’s homeless population is far more visible than in other places, and more vulnerable to the illness, violence and death that accompany living on the street.

We have a lot of homeless in Florida too. I think it's a matter of climate. If you're homeless, you don't want to endure cold winters. Nor the kind of summers you get in AZ or NM.

poor schools,

That can be traced back directly to Proposition 13. Before that, they were the best public schools in the nation.

a just-passed statewide ban on single-family zoning,

It wasn't a ban on single-family zoning; it simply opened up single-family zones to multi-family housing. (Incidentally, single-family zones are racist in origin: they were passed in the first place because white families were more likely to be able to afford houses.)

Allowing multi-family dwellings on parcels zoned for single family detached homes = elimination of single family zoning. #SB9

330 million give or take 60 in CA which means we have a little MORE than a quarter of the population and then you have to factor in places where the homeless would have a MUCH MUCH harder time surviving. I'm sure there are homeless along the South East Coast and that lot of them simply get kinda dead once a hurricane. I'm snowzilla or snowmaggedon or whatever they end up calling the next major snow storm wipes out a fair chunk in the north east.

So you're probably correct, but the number should be a little higher than that.

Allowing multi-family dwellings does not amount to banning single-family homes; it just allows for other options.

Well, Boomer's right in that it does eliminate single-family zoning. Just like opening a neighborhood to commercial establishments would effectively eliminate its residential zoning.

And you are right, I'm sure, that the original point of single-family zoning was to ensure all-white neighborhoods -- I'm willing to be believe that because, historically, a lot of white Americans have gone to great lengths to make sure no blacks would live near them. See sundown towns. See also racially restrictive deed covenants -- when you bought your house, you had to agree in writing never to sell it to a black; such provisions are no longer legally enforceable, but still to be found in print in some older deeds.

And, one is tempted to suspect that the original reason for single-family zoning might just perhaps still apply in the minds of some.

I once was a newpaper reporter and my beat included a very small Florida town called Lake Helen. There was once hot local controversy over whether to allow construction of a town sewer system, the stated objection being that this would make multifamily buildings possible. This town was all white except for one quadrant (the town map is a square) that I once heard referred to as "coloredtown." And this de facto segregation -- which I would suspect was a traditional pattern going back many decades, probably to the town's founding in the early 20th Century -- was present in a town with a total population of only a thousand, and not a single traffic light.

Newsom just won the recall, so I guess it's time now for us to hear about how he cheated.

California has almost 2x as many registered dems as republicans but yeah. They need to cheat to win. Biden beat the orange dipshit by 30% points. Can’t wait for the stop the steal rally’s. Apparently any time a republican loses, even in a state that’s overwhelmingly democrat, it’s a con job.

It's all good as long as the Deplorables "election fraud" bullshit angers and energizes Democratic voters to return ballots and turnout at the polls.

Cynicism and apathy are the democracy killers. Decent, reasonable people really have the numbers to create a more perfect union.

They just need to VOTE.

And in 2020 they did. They sent a clear message to the qanon gop, but the gop has been overrun with retardation.

Was there any doubt? Ballots were sent to the dead, to residents no longer living in the state, all of whom could have voted, or someone else could have harvested those ballots, filled them out, and sent in. There is unrestricted ballot harvesting. No signature verification requirements. There are no chian of custody requirements. It's illegal to ask a voter if they citizens. Millions of illegals vote in CA. I talked to my partner last night who voted in the election, he said people in the government were calling the election for Newsom an hour after the polls closed. Got to be the fastest count on record. They probably never bothered to count the votes of those who voted in person. They already had enough fraudulent votes allegedly mailed in. California is all done, that's why I moved.

Hahaha.

Do you know who whines "stolen elections" and "voter fraud?"

Crybaby snowflakes because they can't handle losing.

Hahaha. :D
