Caging for beginners

Lately I have been thinking of caging my girlfriend. I guess there are many ways to go about doing it, but I picture a small "cage" where she is restricted from standing up straight or stretching her limbs.

From anyone's perspective, how do you construct such a cage or what can be bought somewhat frugally? I am not a gearhead but I can assemble something basic if someone describes a successful procedure. I was thinking of getting a small wooden crate and modifying it by cutting some holes or perhaps assembling something out of PVC pipes.

From the PYL side, what are your goals when it comes to caging? I was thinking the experience should be humiliating and uncomfortable for her.

From the pyl side, what are your thoughts/attitudes on being caged? I am thinking this will be new "submissive" ground for my girlfriend.

From anyone's perspective, what sort of schedule do people really use so the person being caged comes to "understand" the experience? I was thinking of Friday evening through Saturday evening, which (a) forces her to sleep during the experience yet (b) gives her all of Sunday to recover.

Thanks for any replies.

Will reply in more detail when time permits but as for the cage itself, we have thought of buying one of the cages available for larger dogs...less expense than ones related to adult sites and stores. I would also check her ability to take it first. It may be a fantasy for her as well, but until it is tried there is no guarantee there may not be issues of claustrophobia or panic attacks, so perhaps a gradual build up in time may be adviseable. The body itself can also be a limit if there are any issues with arthritis etc.

Don't make it out of wood, unless you put a finishing coat on it. Splinters are a pain in the ass.

Cages can be humiliating in the extreme to some people, M is a half a notch below hard-never-no-way limits on being caged. It's a lot like leashes and collars, they have animal connotations and that can be a turn on or a turn off to various people, and various people read those things as more animal or less animal, more human.

But I know some people who like cages because they can become a retreat, they become a safe enclosed space. I have no qualms about crawling into the larger metal cage at dungeon parties with my girlfriends to dish dirt or torture them more intimately -- I like small spaces that people aren't able to violate.

For home caging, I'd say the large dog crate can be good for a smallish human female. Make sure you put something down over the bottom of the crate unless you really want to make a small torture chamber.

I have found myself of late checking out the plastic trays designed for placing under washing machines and such. Inexpensive, waterproof, and just about the right size without giving too much room..and quick and easy to clean also.:)

Being caged I think could play to humiliation, if that is something you and your sub are into. Frankly, for me it inspires claustrophobia.

i'd like a cage...i'd find it reassuring i think, a haven :D

everytime I think I'm a house hold pervert, I come here and am beaten to shame with new ideas... oi,

M joked about a caging idea once, and we have two dogs already... I told M to either clean it out EXTENSIVELY or to get another one or it wouldn't happen ... haha.

Can I suggest maybe putting the ply in the corner first, or kneeling in a certain area, talk about how the ply feels - then graduate?

So Netzach is the only person who has some experience with cages?

Well, I wasn't really going for the animal angle. More like prisoner or kidnap victim.

I guess I'm on my own.

*nods* But they are wonderful and gorgeous when they are finished properly.

Of course, I've had a thing for cages for a while now. My first intro was at a party where it was set up as a table to hold the muchies in the social area. Sub/slaves could climb in and relax....me? I loved reaching out and playing with people who walked up to the "table".

<--can be such a SAM

I wouldn't think you are on your own...and using an animal cage doesn't mean you have to go for the animal angle.

They also make them out of wrought iron, you can do a google search to find places who make them. A friend of ours has one that looks like a huge bird cage - but it had a hook in the top for restraints

I think that caging is a awesome thing. I would love to have had my sub take a nap in the cage next to my king sized bed :) But anything longer than 3-4hrs might be a health hazord becuase I would want her in there tight and in restarints.

I would go to a pet store. that's all i can think of at the moment.

I was thinking of getting a small wooden crate and modifying it by cutting some holes or perhaps assembling something out of PVC pipes.

if that's the case then go to Home Depot.

this reminds me of being tied to a bed.. but not as comforting.
the weekend sounds good.. i was actually thinking that.. unless there's a holiday weekend to take advantage of... vacation days.. etc.. she will have to be fed like an animal? bark like a dog? will she be spread eagle in the cage? chained .. cold.. hot .... light dark... will she be in the garage? made to spread her ass cheeks on plastic grass? so curious... Will you be taking photos?

Not sure the under the bed or desk test is much indication of whether it would work, unless you mean as in small space for comfortability of fit. It might give an indication in someone who has huge huge phobias, but I would think more on the unusually high phobia side than the general claustrophobic person. I become claustrophobic during bondage and enclosure at times, and yet getting under a bed or under a desk presents no problem at all, probably because they are not really confined areas as such, just cramped.

Tried it...

Used a wooden crate for the cage. It was roughly 36" long x 24" wide x 36" tall. Duration was 20-22 hours with me removing her from the "cage" on two occasions for about fifteen minutes each time.

The experience was too slow-moving and there was not much intensity. To be honest it wasn't very interesting for either of us. Let's just say this is not on the "try again" list.

The cage

I built a cage for our local dungeon. The cage measures H42" W 40"L50". The construction is 3"x3" angle on the corners with lifting hooks and the bars are 5/8ths solids. Weight of the cage is about 300lbs.

I had a very unaware helper working in the welding shop at the time.

I just told him I had a contract with the city zoo to ship a young gorilla to another locale. He did not ask any other questions and a week later the local dungeon was the proud owner of a very nice cage.

I also biult a jail cell/interiogation room in the dungeon.

There is just something about that hard cold steel when it slams shut and you know for a fact that someone will have to let you out.

Having lots of dogs, I have lots of crates. ;) They're end tables around here. I'd fit in any crate but the ones for the cat/bird and the new pup/small dog crate, but I have to agree with Mr Blonde... it'd be boring for me. I spend a lot of time training my pups that the crate is a nice safe retreat, so it wouldn't bother me, humiliation-wise, and I have such bad shoulders, it'd probably result in a trip to the ER in the end. :D
