Buying a digital camera.

I want to be able to take sexual pictures for posting online and for
sending via emails.

How many pixels should it have for good quality online pictures ?

What sort of other features do you suggest I look for. e.g.
- Timer
- Being able to take 10-30 secs of video.
- Anything else ?

I bought a Nikon Coolpix 995 about a year ago, and it's one of the best purchases I ever made. As mentioned above, I found the information at Cnet invaluable.

Be sure to go to a store and try out the model(s) you're interested in before buying online, though. Sometimes there are subtle little features (like the placement of the button, or how you hold the camera) that make a big difference. I narrowed it down to the Nikon and an Olympus by reading all the reviews I could, but chose the Nikon because I liked the swivel LCD screen and the Olympus felt a little awkward in my hands.
