Just a thought, it may be more of a turn on for you both to choose together?

Think it would be a better turn on if you both got one.
As for steel or glass it depends on what you intend to do with it, the glass is best to heat or cool but if you are looking for something to stay in for quit a while the steel is better.

Agree with this. Also, go for a smaller one if you'v never used one before. I have s beautiful glass one but it's huge and painfully heavy.

Rubber? I've seen silicone. I have one, but it won't stay in. Had another and it wouldn't go in. Too bendy.

That’s easy: get two!

I’ve never tried steel, but glass I’d nice: easy to clean, and can be warmed beforehand, which I highly recommend. Not happy with results we’ve had with silicone plugs, for me or her. Don’t go too big at first, but do get one with significant enough tapering to stay well put. Small, narrow ones can be involuntary ejected rather forcefully during orgasm, so beware.
