Hi all. I have been writing lesbian stories for the last 10 years off and on. I am a married mother of two and I am bisexual. Over the years I have found that my taste in women has evolved. Early on, when I first accepted my attraction to other women, I was drawn to decidedly femme women. I found myself attracted to the girl next door type. Long hair, often brunettes but not exclusively. Pretty eyes, pretty smiles, thin yet curvaceous bodies. I had a few experiences that were very satisfying but something seemed to be missing. As the years passed I went through a phase where I was wildly attracted to strong, feminine domme type women but that too left me with the feeling that something was missing.

A few years ago I met a woman who changed my life. She was openly lesbian, very strong, very dominant and butch. She wore her hair short, didn't shave her legs or armpits and never wore makeup. She dressed almost exclusively in men's clothes including boxers (HOT). She had a deliciously thick curvy body that I was simply addicted to. We had an 11 month long affair during which time I learned some amazing things about myself but sadly we are no longer together.

Ever since my relationship with her I have found myself exclusively attracted to butch women. Strong women who make me feel safe and who know how to take charge both in the bedroom and out. A hot butch will leave me weak in the knees. Tell me, who do you prefer, butch or femme.

Another piece of the puzzle.

As a man, I am obviously coming at this from a slightly different angle.

A little background...

I lost my virginity to a man and I am openly bisexual with all of my partners. In the past few years I have come to consider myself predominantly gay as I have learned more and more about my body :).

However, I am currently in my first relationship in about the last 4 years with a woman. We've been seeing eachother 11 months now. We have since participated in many threesomes involving other men and she is quite enthusiastic about my sexuality! So suffice it to say that strap-on's play a big role in our 1-on-1 sex life. This has been the case with every woman I have shared my sexuality with.

As for my preferences...

CaroleS36 summed up my experience with women quite nicely:

"...[W]hen I first accepted my attraction to other women, I was drawn to decidedly femme women. I found myself attracted to the girl next door type. Long hair, often brunettes but not exclusively. Pretty eyes, pretty smiles, thin yet curvaceous bodies. I had a few experiences that were very satisfying..."

I have been thinking about your thread since I read it yesterday and have come to the conclusion that I have a new fantasy! I would love for an aggressively butch woman--very similar to the description of your previous lover--who is exclusively lesbian to make an exception to the rules and make my latest dream come true!

Over the course of the last day, I have imagined steamy encounters where just such a woman has dominated me like no other woman has dared. Of course my beloved strap-on has been prevalent in my recent yearnings, but I am more turned on by the psychological aspect.

I now feel as if this is the only woman in the world who can completely exploit the depths of my submissiveness and femininity (and just to clarify, I do not believe the qualities of "submissive" and "feminine" are mutually exclusive). With women who have been accepting and participatory with regards to my bisexuality, I have never been able to forgo my predominant masculinity. With men I am much more submissive and rarely have the desire to top in such situations; but I still seem to guard my "manliness" a bit. Ironically, I guess I am either too shy or too egotistical.

Either way, I think the sexy woman we have defined as being "butch" might have just the attitude I need in a partner to allow me to be more honest with my sexual expression than ever before. Furthermore, she can probably teach me a thing or two about appreciating the abstract bounds and neglected complexity of one seemingly innocent word... SEXUALITY

Thanks for posting this thread Carole!

Femme...

Femme all the way. Being bi I like the differences between a man and a woman. I like men to be hairy, strong, calloused, a little rougher. I like women to be soft, sensous, gentle...but that's just my personal preference.

I like androgyny in both men and women, so my favorite women look mannish, and my favorite men look girlish.:cattail:
