Now to address this:

When I stop & the bridge falls, I thought they were left in a void of apathy, not uncertainty. If they are uncertain, or if they miss me, they can call. If they are apathetic, they won't. Apparently it wasn't worth their energy to conclude it.

I didn't enjoy waiting and wondering if they would reconnect with me. I don't dig apathy. I don't like thinking they're not going to call and wondering why. It was worth the energy to start it. I just took the time and effort to end it. No more wondering. It's about my energy. Not theirs. Mine.

But yeah, when a horse is dead, beating it is just sad.

I think of it more as trying CPR on a corpse- it's valorous, but somewhere it becomes foolish if it doesn't work.:rose:
