Michael- My name is Michael Weston. I lived in Florida until...

Governor DeSantis Agent- We got a 'woke' notice on you, you're blacklisted.

Michael- Now I'm burned in Florida. And when you're burned, you got nothing. No cash, no credit, no job prospects, or so it seems. You're stuck in whatever city they decide to dump you in. Where are we, Fiona?

Fiona- America.

Michael- Thanks. These days I haven't changed much. I do whatever work comes my way. I rely on anyone who's still talking to me. My trigger-happy, also woke, girlfriend...

Fiona- Should we shoot them?

Michael- [shakes head] My old friend who used to inform on me to the anti-woke...

Sam- You know the right wing. Bunch of bitchy little kids.

Michael- Family still in Florida too, when I'm desperate.

Michael's Mother- Someone needs your help, Michael.

Michael- And the down-and-out people similar to me I meet along the way.

Jesse- That's how we do it, people!

Michael- And I'm still in this world, despite all the people who tell me I shouldn't be. Bottom line is: as long as you're woke, God doesn't want you going anywhere. And that works for me.

- Hope you enjoyed this liberal Christian parody of Burn Notice, a popular TV show, inserting my favorite archangel into the title role. Thx to Robert Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land for related inspiration. I have other fanfiction stories on the site if readers are interested. -AN

I loved that show, this cracked me upšŸ¤£
That was one of the better original shows in tv history. I still follow Donovan's career closely. RIPD 2 was better than it should have been.

I had to rewatch the first one to connect the two, but you're right. It was more entertaining than it should have been. They waited too long to make the second one. I've tried to watch stuff that included everyone from that show. The Netflix series Mindhunter starred one of the antagonists from a late episode where they were looking for a kidnapped kid and a dirty detective was the ringleader behind the kidnapping. The detective was the lead FBI agent on that show.

I was irritated that HULU cancelled his show but left the other seasons up. Can't remember what it was called, but he was a con artist "psychic". He doesn't vary his character's personalities much.

I'm really disappointed the Gabrielle Anwar hasn't done more since then. I loved her in that show.

Funny, I just binged Mindhunter for the first time and saw that as well. Anwar was amazing as Fi and you're right, she needs to do more. Although, her lips got a bit duckie towards the end.

I hadn't noticed her lips. I always thought her face in general was a bit sharp, but her figure...

My wife ended up liking her style and bought a few of those hip bags that Fi liked using like her utility belt.

Iā€™d dance the tango with Gabrielle Anwar any day. If you know her career, you should know what movie Iā€™m referencing. :)
