I don't think the interviewer was very impressed with me, to be honest. I think she asked me like three questions and did the rest of the talking herself. But it's fine because I was uncertain about the job itself. Hopefully, tomorrow goes better.

It doesn't sound to me like you lost anything, other than a small amount of time...
IMHO, it's important that you're pleased and impressed with the employer!

Thanks, guys! I'll definitely keep you posted.

I'm excited because it's a chance to finally (sorta) use my degree that I got back during the Stone Age. It's a behavioral tech job on the psych ward at the hospital near my house. It's like a five-minute drive, and the work is PRN, so I get to choose my own shifts. That means I can continue with my various side hustles.

The only thing that sucks is, I won't have insurance. But I haven't had it in years, so this is really not the biggest deal.

The people there seem so fucking cool. I think I'll really like the work. I could be completely wrong, but it seems a hell of a lot more rewarding than a call center does. And now I don't have to feel like four years in college for a psych degree was in vain!

To be honest with y'all, I'm actually a pretty...I hate to say "religious" because of the connotations of the word, so let's go with "spiritual" person.

I prayed to the gods and goddesses that if either of these jobs I was interviewing for would improve my life, to please let me not fuck up the interview and get a job offer. But if they wouldn't make my life better, to please not let them offer me anything at all so I'd know to keep looking.

The one I interviewed for on Tuesday was not for me. I realized it before the interview was even over. And I got no offer, as I had asked. This one, however, seemed promising, and I did get the job. So I'm hoping that means this will be good for me and will improve my life significantly, since that's what I asked for. :)
 
So I have to eat my words, y'all. I was wrong. I guess I misunderstood because it appears I don't have a new job at all.

On Wednesday, I could have sworn the interviewer said she would have HR email me more information. It's Tuesday, and I haven't gotten an email. Also, I emailed the interviewer Thursday to thank her for talking with me and didn't get a reply. So I'm guessing she was talking in hypotheticals, while I misconstrued it as something else.

So I'm still stuck with the same shitty job. But today and tomorrow are my days off, so I'll be applying to new ones.
