Bump This Thread Whenever You See Trump is Still in Office

And FDR and Obama excelled at stretching out recessions for years with inept policy decisions, you fucking retard.

Obama pulled is out within a couple years. That's why he was elected to a second term. Do you even read, bro?

FDR threatened jail time for businesses that dared cut prices on goods and services at a time when people couldn't rub two nickels together.
Brilliant.

I understand, I'm not the biggest fan of the guys economic policies either.

I'm just saying at least he could say "Look at all this awesome shit we did with all that money." We got hydro electric dams, power grids, highways, and a bunch of other useful shit that allowed people to prosper. I've made a lot of money on the resources/infrastructure built by FDR, 60 years after the fact. So have a lot of others.

JFK, not the hugest fan of his international policy but at least he could say "We went to the fucking moon and launched the tech era." and mega bucks have been made off those investments in tech development. People got return on their investment.

The (D)'z haven't done much but ride that legacy as they make more and more money vanish.

Now they're just basic socialist....neo-Maoist that don't even realize it.

Being at war may have had something to do with that! 22nd Amendment passed congress 1947 and ratified 1951.

WW2 started Sept 1 1939.

Hmm lets see you entered WW2 on Dec 8 1941. In his second term...so the first two terms don't count?

Mind showing me some evidence of the above? I can't find any.

Maybe FDR shouldn't have lifted Prohibition . I think the board might be a whole bunch less offensive if we didn't drink, (or do drugs)....*chuckles*

Fuzzy seems to be a fan of the Reich Wing FDR. :)

I wouldn't say fan, but given what he had to deal with, he did all right. Far better than Hoover before him, that is for sure.

Political studies list him as one of the top three Presidents, so I guess he did alright....

Read your history.
Study the NRA. No, not the National Rifle Association, but the National Recovery Administration.

gotta love trump taking credit for the higher wages which are largely due to the basic wage being raised to $15 per hour in more and more areas--something he's still actively fighting AGAINST!

Unfortunately for the authoritarians out there FDR still a liberal...not a leftist.

Liberalism is a win.....that's why we should reject all the bullshit leftist the (D)'s are offering.

Where is he fighting against 15/hr?? Oh that's right you've already decided you're above civilized discourse,

Considering the places where they have bumped up the minimum wage to $15.00 p/hr, and the fact that many of those people were let go, or replaced by mechanization, the argument that raising the minimum wage hikes are why wages are higher, is bogus.....at best.

I can't find experienced, and even trained people in my industry, and nor can others. That means, when we do find experienced & trained people, we have to pay 'em more to get 'em, as well as keep 'em. Supply and demand ya know.

Think about that.

Also consider the stupidity of 1 size fits all.

The economy of NYC 20/hr min wage might make sense, that would be fucking DEVASTATING to Bozeman Montana, Palo Pinto Texas or Winslow Arkansas.

But then again "progressives" don't give the slightest shit about those dumbfuckistan towns. In fact they openly deride and fucking HATE small town America, so why would they not just go CCP about it and force a 1 size fits all on the whole country??

So caring....so much altruism.....that's progress!!!

And they wonder why the election maps look the way they do

Good point.
As someone who works all over the U.S>, and travels all over the U.S., and places not, cost of living throughout varies greatly.

And, I agree 100%. Our on government put people in my line of work, on the endangered species list. And that's not the only line of work they have done that to. Us folks, in flyover country....and flyby country.

The democrats are too fucking stupid to think about these things. They just want to make sure they get their Starbucks order right.

It's not a uniform economy that's for certain. I think the idea of a federal minimum is retarded. That should be a state issue, just like HC and a number of other things.

Markets come and go man, sometimes the government has legit reason to push it, sometimes not. I judge that shit on a case by case basis.

Do I want corrupt market bogarting/protections and such? No...obviously I want markets to be as free as possible.

But there are some exceptions to that, natural resource management for example, fishermen, am I happy that some fishermen got put out of business once we realized if we don't want to run out fo Salmon forever we can only take so many each year??

No...but it's a reasonable regulation to try and control how many we harvest each year. There are other examples but you get the point.

Other stuff is just found to be a horrible threat to the public....thallium rat poison for example. Shit is no good, terribly toxic, persistent etc. and as much as I feel for everyone who lost their jobs in the process but it was a totally legit move for the gov to ban that shit and take control over the use and distribution of it.

The democrats are too fucking stupid to think about these things. They just want to make sure they get their Starbucks order right.

I think they're just a bunch of totalitarian control freak socialist.

Outstanding.

I'm a little concerned about the capacity of this thread though. It has to last until at a minimum January 21st 2021, and possibly 01 21 2025.

It also needs to accommodate the occasional, triggered flyby by those that, at a minimum, thought that "impeachment" would have a deleterious effect on the President and, at the most delusional, thought it would result in his removal from office.

A comment about Trumps hair,or makeup has a deleterious effect on him.

You can be in favour of what he is doing, or against it, but at the end of the day, you cannot deny his fragile ego.

Orly?

Trump is as he always was.
