Nothing wrong with the data. It sits safely on my hard drive. And most of it on cd backup. I've had enough mistakes with that kind of thing to learn the B-word by tragic experience. No, it's the graphics card, or the PCI bus on the motherboard, that is fried and need to be replaced.

Ha, that went fast. Borrowed an really expensive Apple Powerbook from work over the weekend. Feels kind of weird since I haven't worked on a Mac since the last ice age.
