Buffy: Countdown to the Apocalypse

Was it just me or did it look like that the extras (the orks) from Lord of the Rings got lost in Buffy's sound stage??

Scary!!

that was definitely my thought when I saw the final scene...oh look they took lotr outtakes for the final scene this week.

LMAO!

So we all thought the final scene was a lotr's trailer.

I was very very happy to see the kick-ass Spike back. And Willow using alot of power again... YAY!!

I loved tonight's show! My only quibble - where the heck was Giles for all this stuff????????

The shadow puppet arrangement was excellent - go Dawny with her research! It's nice to not hate her and want her dead all the time, for a change. The potentials have taken over that slot nicely.

We get new Angel on March 5th, with Faith back!

Kennady is soo sexy. Sorry just had to say that.

I really enjoyed this episode as well. Spike kicked ass tonite.

I was reading up on what happens in the next few episodes, they get VERY interesting.

Even my hubby got into it more when the "black coat" came out. And Wood commenting..."Nice coat...where'd you get it?" Knowing the wooden stakes were flying out of his eyes. Gotta love calm, cool, and 20 questions guy.

Anyone think Kennedy will be a lil turned off by Willows magic? She seemed to think it was all cool, till she saw what Willow could do.

I am hoping Kennedy gets killed...but that is just my opinion. Of course, I still have my hopes for Willow & Xander. :D

Did you notice who Willow was close to for comfort? Not Kennedy. Her and Xander were cuddled up at one moment. I think it was after the demon attacked and Spike chased him out of the house. I think they should get together too, but you know most only watch because of the Lesbian storyline.

The story of her and Tara was a great one...but I do miss the Willow/Xander chemistry from Season 3. It would just be a cool idea to go back and explore. What if they could finally be together?

I'm feeling the exact same way about Dawn too. I used to absolutely hate her and would get mad at something she said or did at least once an episode. Now with all the potential slayers there I have had much less of a problem with her. One of the potentials really gets on my nerves though, luckily she doesn't have much of a speaking role. It's the one who has kind of a southern accent and I think she's blonde, not sure what her name is.

Beebeeblue -

my best friend was like, "oooooooooooh - that 's the coat Spike took off his mom, I remember that!!!"

h'venlee - yeah, I could be happy with dead Kennedy.

I've decided, for the sake of convenience, that Giles must have been keeping the potentials out of the way, during the whole Buffy portal demon exchange madness. But that still bugs me.

What is up with the Anya hitting on Spike biz?!?!?!?

Anya wants some more of that wonderful vampirey lovin'. :D I think Anya is lonely. She was so focused on Xander, now that he's out of the picture I think she's looking for another 'interest' to keep her mind off of her situation...even if it's just a sexual interest. I thought it was funny that Spike looked at her like she had lost her mind.

I wonder if Wood is ever going to tell Buffy that Spike killed his mother.

I would hope that he did before he tried to do anything to Spike. I mean normaly I would say that Spike would beat the shit out of wood but since he has a soul now I think he would hold back when fighting a human.

Spike is not anything close to the same type of personality he was back in 1976 and should not be punished for what he did back then.

Blackbitch - of course Wood will tell Buffy... gosh, she needs something else to feel depressed and conflicted about! But, she won't. She'll just go, "He has a soul now. It 's different."

Yeah, good thought about Anya. Buffy reamed her pretty good - "Other than getting rescued, what is your role here?

Anya - "I provide much needed sarcasm."

Xander - "No, actually, that would by my job."

Yeah! I am not the only one.

Isn't Giles away retreiving another potential or something like that. I thought it was mentioned last week. (shrug)

Whenever Giles is away (Doesn't need/want to be in the show) he is usually written out with the excuse of "finding other potentials."

Anya wants something/someone to take her mind off of Xander. It is pretty obvious she still loves him.

For me (And possibly the others who mentioned this) I stopped hating Dawn after the episode she thought she was a potential and Xander gave his speech to her. It allowed her to take a place in the group and stop the whining.

Whats this crap she did with the shaman guys? They say she is the last guardian of the Hellmouth but Faith is still out there. Yeah, Faith isn't around but she is still a Slayer. And Buffy gives up getting more power just because it would probaly make her a bit less human? Maybe she doesn't care anymore if the world dies or is a tad over confident in what she has now.

The last scene gave me goosebumps. 1000 or more true Vamps waiting to get released and ready to fight and there are what; 16 potentials (15 now) 5 Scoobies, Spike, Andrew, Woody and Buffy to stand against them currently. With help from Faith, Angel and his crew most likely on the way to help eventually. Thats 31-32 people and Buffy calls them an army???? More like a Platoon to me. And she gives up MORE POWER???

Oh well, maybe the next episode will be better than the last few but from the preview I highly doubt it.

Just my two cents worth here. Maybe part of the reason that Buffy gave up "more power" was since the 1st slayer was made combining a human girl w/ a demon essence, that its NOT that buffy thinks she has so much strength on her own, but is afraid that if you add more "demon" to her, that she will (possibly) stop caring. This may also be due to how she reacted when she was first resurrected. Remember how distant and unfeeling she was?? So maybe that was the basis of her refusing the extra power, in order to maintain more humanity.

As for what the three shamans said, they said Buffy was "the last guardian of the hellmouth" (not a verbatim quote), NOT that she was the last slayer overall. So maybe the hellmouth gets destroyed somehow...?? (since Joss does seem to like to play w/ words and stories...:D)

I thought this was a pretty mild show compared tot he ones that have been showing here lately. Was good though.

Show was ok. Not the best I have seen though.

What I really want to know is- What was the vampire from the credits singing at the end??

I thought it was a funny episode...but yeah not the best I've seen.
Just wondering...There was no like 3 minute scene at the beginning before the opening credits. It just started with the opening credits. And at the end it showed the ending credits for like 2 seconds and then flashed to the end of the credits. I wondered if it was the station or what...thought maybe someone else noticed it.

Okay, what was up with Andrew's 'filmography' of the scooby gang? The poor guy is trying so hard to fit in with the group, I feel bad for him. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear he was gay. What was up with him reciting Anya's lines during the playback of the Xander/Anya scenes?

Funny line of the show: Anya - 'Why don't you just masturbate like the rest of us?'

Wood was stopped from killing Spike when they were attacked by the students. I guess that would have been the perfect opportunity since he could have blamed it on the kids but that kind of surprised me for some reason. Maybe he doesn't want to say anything to Buffy because he senses more between her and Spike than what she's let on.

blackbich-

Gay. Gay, totally gay, with a mad crush on Xander... hee hee!
We've been thinking gay forever now - tell me you're joking!

I loved the one last time scene with Xander & Anya.. awwww.
They were so good together... it makes me sad that they're through now.

I think Wood hasn't killed Spike yet because he doesn't have to want to justify it to Buffy, who he's hot for... if he thought he had a perfect excuse "If you could murder anyone and never get caught" scenario, he'd stake Spike in a second.
