Buffy: Countdown to the Apocalypse

Tonight's episode of angel is alright...not the best one ever.

Now next week...someone dies. :evil grin:

Kennedy- Exactly how old is she supposed to be? Unless she was drinking a Virgin she would have had to be over 21 and that seems kind of old for a slayer in training. To me, anyway.

That has occurred to me too. Then again, Buffy has had an unusually long shelf life, and as I've been understanding it the council tried to have a replacement ready to go at any time. Maybe she's just been waiting on the shelf since Faith got activated.

I have a question.

If Faith is still around, and another slayer was not activated the last time Buffy died, why does everyone say that a new slayer will be activated if Buffy is killed by the First? Wouldn't Faith have to die for a new slayer to be activated?

Or did I miss something along the line?

Ummmm... collective cerebral flatulence on the part of the Scoobies/writers? There actually WAS another slayer along the lines of "Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Film" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail spawned the last time Buffy died, who is now wandering around somewhere in the jungles of South America? The writers already have Faith's gruesome death planned out, have a major case of senioritis, figure that it doesn't matter anyway, and are too freakin' lazy to explain themselves? I'm just thinking out loud here.

Druisilla was staked by Spike for Buffy.

When did this happen?? The last time I saw Dru on the show, she came back to town, Spike had BOTH her and Buffy tied up, and was trying to get Buffy to admit that she loved him. If she did, he'd stake Dru, if she didn't, release Dru to bite Buffy.

Harmony came in and shot Spike in the rump w/ a crossbow. Dru got lose and was going to bite Buffy, Buffy was fighting back, while chained. Spike realizing what was going on, rushes over to release Buffy from the chains, and Dru backs off saying something like, "you're too gone for even me to save you."

All this was after Spike got the chip put in, but before he got his soul....

So when did Dru get staked by Spike?? (VERY confused here--"help?")

Ok...may I am just hoping. (shrugs) Maybe I have the same problem as the writers. Sorry.

Double checked in a book of monsters at Walden Books, and I really was wrong. She has not been seen since the episode where Spike had her tied up.

Oh well....(shrugs)

So I am talking to a friend of mine at work the other day who is a fellow buffy fan and he mentions some interesting info that I had not heard.

I am just trying to confirm this or see if anyone else has heard similar info.

The gossip he had was that all the current cast of BTVS minus Gellar herself have already signed up for an 8th season of the show. Gellar has however singed a contract for a 9th season as a special guest star like giles character is now.

Anyone else heard this.

I'd heard SOME of that. The rumor that I heard was they are talking to "Faith" (sorry, I'm bad about the real names) about doing a spin-off series (she hasn't agreed yet tho), that Spike and Xander have agreed to do it, but that Willow hasn't yet. Those were the only 1's of the regs that I'd heard about. No comment on Giles, Anya, or Dawn w/ it. Don't know how true any of this is.

I just recently read an interview with Anya in a magazine and in the article it said that Anya was not coming back to Buffy after this season and neither was Gellar.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, tonite was good.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER -

Did anyone else see the connection coming, mid-ep, between principal Wood & spike? My best friend did, she remembered Spike killing the slayer with the huge afro, on the subway, which was shown ages and ages ago in some buffy - she really wanted the first to appear as mom w/ a huge fro, and was confused by the sexy 'do. I just saw it coming cause I like spoiler pages.

Poor xander - such the demon chick magnet!

It was okay. Not great for sweeps, though.

Next week looks fun.

I'm tempted to watch it now, but with only so much Buffy left, I have to meter it out.

Yup, I got that too. (though a friend was giving me hints while we talked) Was wondering when the principal would get it. Wonder how he's gonna handle it.

Speaking of which, I know this is suppose to be the last season for Buffy. Is the date referenced above your AV a projected date for maybe a buffy movie? Or maybe the beginning of a new spinoff?

Nope.

Nothing near Buffy related.
