Buffy: Countdown to the Apocalypse

Yes, that is Fastlane. And if I'm not mistaken, you just described the episode with Tiffany having a lesbian kiss.

well, I don't remember no lesbian kiss..... but could have happened after I flipped (sorry, didnt know what show it was, and mom was looking for something to watch, not me. :) )

BUMPTY BUMPETY BUMP!`

Happy Angel watching, everybody! Rasta, we'll be thinking of you, I'm sure - hope you had that relaxing summer you needed.

I am SO happy that James Marsters will be on this show.

mmmmmmmmmm.

Bump!

I'm watching it too.... I hope that this premiss isn't going to be used the whole season.... too much of a change for me, lol. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.

So far I'm loving it~with Buffy off the air it's the ony link to Sunnydale around and I'm psyched Spike is going to be around. I didn't really care for last season so i missed alot~particularly the absence of cordy and conner but harmony as angels secretary is hysterical.

I heard at some point mid season Buffy will be stopping in.

Cubs game is on right now. Angel will be on in an hour and a half. I hope I don't forget, LOL.

not a spoiler

Allooo! OH - Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! My moronic ex, who never but never calls me, manages to call me tonight, during Angel... to tell me he's looking at some bumper sticker on a car, a Superman logo parody with the initials GP in it.... For the love of god, where is the humanity????

But I taped it, and I can watch it again if I want... It's not the spellbinding attention holder Buffy used to be for me.... but there were a few great bits tonight - thank god for Harmony on the show to lighten the mood!

Angel was fun, but wow, what a full-blown gonzo whopper of a moral dilemma! I kinda hope they do a lighter show or two to settle things down a bit before getting all angsty again.

Okay I liked that Angel. Especially with what he did with that dude and the shotgun.

And Gunn is gonna be interesting to watch this year.

Yeah, Angel kicked ass. It was good seeing him in action again. Gunn is definitely ging to be fun this year. It was interesting the way he just came into the courtroom and took over. Also, Fred was funny. She is usually timid, and it made me laugh when she chewed out the scientists. This is going to be a good season.

Me too. I haven't been watching Angel much the last couple of seasons, but with no more Buffy... well I may find myself drawn in. ;)

Harm being on the show is a great touch I thought the "blondie bear?" was the funniest line of the episode.

The "blondie bear" part was funny...she was always a fun character. I can't wait for next week's Angel...the previews looked really funny...plus Spike looks like he'll be in most of the episode. I read in the TV Guide that Buffy has signed on to do like a two-episode guest appreance during sweeps week or month or whatever, that should be interesting.

you can get casting sides for the first 7 epis of this season's Angel if you poke around in the www.buffyworld.com forum.

This should be a fun season. Now that most of the Buffy and Angel writers have all collapsed into one team, and Whedon is totally focused on this one project, we should be in for some well thought-out schemes and themes.

Did anyone else think Gunn's nose looked different?

And is it just me, or is Fred's lil Knoxy assistant very much like the actor who played a vampire last year on Buffy??? He was the vamp who kept her talking and talking in the graveyard, while the First appeared to Willow as dead blonde poet girl, and to Dawn as mom, saying don't trust Buffy... and then at the end of the episode, he told Buffy that Spike sired him...

Just little details that were buggin me - any thoughts?

heee heee.. Blondie bear. I love it.

Good catch. The Knox character IS the same actor as Buffy's vamp councelor in epi 7 (Conversations with Dead People) of season 7. Different character, tho.

So far I liked the first episode better than all of last season. I'm still not sure what happened with Cordelia and Conner and thier baby~Cordelia used to be such a fun character and Harmony always cracked me up...if you go all the way back to the first episode of Buffy there she is~

I love seeing Angel and Spike "together again"~that one blurt of Spike saying he's Angels Boyfriend does such nice things for me. I never liked Spike either. I always thought Buffy staking him would have made a dark poignant statement at some point but he turned into a great character during the whole Glory thing and last season...and god I love Drusilla.

Weird how I like all the vampire girls.

I usually go to www.cityofangel.com. If you want this season's pictures, go under gallery, under group photos. There are some cool behind the scenes ones of Joss and David.

Be warned though...it's a flash heavy site.

There is supposedly a letter from Joss at the WB site, but to me, it just seems way too forced to really be him.

Either there is a stunning lack of VIP-age with the new ep, or James hasn't had the opportunity to update the VIP archive yet.

One can only hope. Still, I can't help but think that Joss will be distracted because he had such a big development deal AND Arden at home.

Well, and now that you mention it, he's also supposed to be working on and shopping around a feature film version of Firefly.

And Glam, how can any self-respecting homosexual NOT have the hots for Spike? He could drain my vein any day.

There's a couple of actors who have been on both shows as different characters.

And some actors have played multiple, different parts on the same show. The guy who played Andrew in seas 6 &7 was also a vamp in Harmony's gang at the beginning of seas 5.

Did anyone notice that the sound effects when they were hand-to-hand fighting seemed kinda overdone like a 70s kung fu movie?

And whom is that new evilish blonde and why is she not Delila?

Eve....new character...she has potential :)

As for Lilah, the rumor is that the actress didn't wanna do the part anymore.

Just watched the last episode again...and figured I'd throw out a call to all my old friends on the thread. Hope everyone is doing well...hope these past 2 years have been good to you all.
