First of all.. I want to make it clear to all.. this is just me and Bunny stirring up trouble.. kind of a "Lit grenade".. please feel free to assume the roles of "pro" & "con".

It has been said by friends/acquaintances of mine that because I am practice bsdm as a sexual outlet that I am league with the devil and practice satanic worship.

Personally, I think they are full of it and that ignorance breeds bliss but as a practicing Roman Catholic, I cannot discount the idea of it. Besides, I regularly exorcise my dungeon, just to be certain there are no demons hiding under spanking benches or behind St. Andrew's crosses of which I am not aware. If there is anybody out there who can prove me wrong, I'd like to know.

Oh, ye of little faith....

I can prove you so, so wrong, but, alas, I don't permit myself to share my rituals of sacrifice and seduction of virgins within my well-proportioned pentagram without someone first showing dedication to The Cause, as I like to term it. Deem yourself worthy, and I shall spill all. Though I can probably be bribed with cheesecake as well.

I will leave you with this: Apocalypse Pony

<3,
Darth Bunny

Interesting... have you ever asked any of these well meaning friends how they reconcile the use of flaggilation by monks (to reach a state of ecstacy, and thus become closer to God) in the early centuries of the Catholic Church, with their position that BDSM is essentially the tool of Satan?

Edited to add:

As usual? I'm being waaaaaaaaay too serious.... and y'all thought the whole sparkly giddy racing off the the DR meant Cutie had been posessed by demonds or something.... hey! Wait a minute! ;)

Dude...I just noticed. In your thread title, you totally spelled it BSDM, which, as we all know, stands for "Big Satanic Dom/mes & Masters/Mistresses."

COME OUT OF THE CLOSET ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am a dork.

All I see is "talk".. no pentagram.. no alter..no dagger.. and definitely no virgins!

First all, we all know that Early Mother Church was definitely flawed and any institution that has man as a component will definitely not be perfect. Those monks are the same ones, however that discovered the modern theory of genetics by careful study and methodology with a pea plant (and thus giving us our modern scientific method of having a control group) ; gave to the poor (where do you think the legend of Robin Hood originated from?), brought humanity out of the Dark Ages and preserved the history of both the Greek and Roman Civilizations?

The self flagellation that you speak of is currently practiced my various religious orders around the world today - most notably a sect of Muslims who got to practice their religious freedom for the first time in 2003 after being liberated by the sacrifice of American soldiers.

One of your fellow practitioners just admitted to it.

I've never understood the Jesuit paradox. They're cool though. It must be like how Fox has the Simpsons on it.

i have no clue how to argue this..but this thread just made me giggle....

Carry on...

There's something to add to catalina's paranoia thread for me.

Done. :D

And, yes, Chris and I totally pulled this thread out of our collective asses because we were bored and wanted to make everyone grin. EG, have at it. You are the Grand Poobah (etc., etc., etc.), after all. ;)

What can I say? I live in San Francisco , where we take our Devil-worship seriously.

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!

Is it reassuring to know that people who think one goes in hand with the other aren't just here? ... Anytime I tried to talk about BDSM or hinted I was interested I was all but scheduled an appointment for an exorcism

I watched The 9th Gate last night. And because parts of it were dull my mind wandered to the wonderful things Daddy and I will do when he gets back in town. So yes, BDSM = Satanism. Glad I could clear that up for ya.

Awww geez.. *skuffs the ground with his cloven hoof* you gave it away way too soon.. lol

Ack! The style of the characters in Apocalypse Pony (which was very funny, BTW) reminded me of an old children's show from the 60s or 70s. It was about a boy and his talking dog and there was always some kind of morality lesson. I can't remember the name of the freaking show and now it is driving me crazy.

If I didn't like sex so much, I'd join the Jesuits.

I really don't see how on earth anyone could mistake a lifestyler with a Satan-worshiper. Where in God's name (mind the pun) did you meet these people?!

Do I look like a Satanic follower to ya'll?

Yet another piece of proof that there are crazy people in any and all religions. Mine included.
