Yes!

Womance is in the Urban Dictionary as an equivalent of 'bromance' as a non-sexual but affectionate f-f relationship. Try Thelma & Louise or Bridesmaids.

Surely, this preceded 'bromance' by several centuries.

To me "with benefits" implies a sexual relationship, which I think is the opposite of what the OP was after.

My use of the phrase "with benefits" was clearly designed to denote sexual relations, as you pointed out. You are also correct that the intent of the thread's originator was to discuss the term without having lesbian desires. So I do stand corrected for being off topic.

I think using "with benefits" describes my own feelings exactly, but was "off topic". Thank you for the gracious way you pointed it out.
