“DEVON” Archer was CONVICTED OF FRAUD back in 2018.

An appeals court just upheld that conviction.

The letter from the DOJ is SOP:

“The request came after the Second Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed Archer's 2018 conviction last Tuesday on two felony charges for his role in a conspiracy to defraud a Native American tribe.”

Even “DEVON” Archers admits there is no attempt by the DOJ to “intimidate” him:

The request from a U.S. attorney’s office isn’t expected to impact Devon Archer’s Monday meeting with a House committee.​

Matthew Schwartz, Archer’s attorney, also rejected the notion that there’s any connection between Archer’s tiff with the Justice Department and his potentially imminent jail time.


“We are aware of speculation that the Department of Justice’s weekend request to have Mr. Archer report to prison is an attempt by the Biden administration to intimidate him in advance of his meeting with the House Oversight Committee,” Schwartz said in a statement. “To be clear, Mr. Archer does not agree with that speculation.

There is nothing in the DOJ letter that is out of line. It just says they want him to surrender for his jail sentence at a time determined by the court.

The closed door meeting is still on for tomorrow at 10 am ET. Slated to go for 4 hours. With breaks, it probably ends around 3 pm. Transcripts should be released to public before Friday.
