It's about time. It's been a racist abomination and a stain upon the nation. The United States has always been a meritocracy where individual achievement ruled the day. The left is the home of the ignorant voter, just look at the demographic breakdown.

The near term result of getting rid of the student loan program will be the loss of employment for a lot of activist professors whose courses are clearly propagandist in nature and contribute nothing to the economic future of the student along with a commiserate reduction in college tuition fees. In other words the various universities will return to being "no frills" campii.
