I actually enjoyed reading this post.
You called out BotanyBoy for his politics, but at the same time you called out Rob for his racial slurs. One doesn't exclude the other.
I personally haven't noticed that about BotanyBoy, but it could well be true, I don't read as many political threads.


My beef is only with those who exhibit a Clique mentality and subtly justify his slurs, like butters and adrina used do.

No, BotBoy, along with everyone else, is free to express their politics as long as those politics don't involve promoting the use of violence to enforce their views. I called out BotBoy for that on a number of occasions, not for his politics. The most recent one involved him telling a female poster that he hoped one of her lovers would beat her to the point that she had to spend a month in an intensive care unit. Instead of admitting that this statement of rage was over the top, he later said she deserved it. Anyone who has been subjected to domestic violence would have something to say about this guy.

Racial slurs are a step just below overtly calling for violence. If you spout off that crap all the time, you dehumanize your "enemy" and make it more likely that the perceived enemy will be subjected to violence or that you will pop off at some time. I called out Rob for that. I called out Carnal Flower for that recently, also. Neither of them admitted that this was wrong. No surprises there, either.

Here is BotBoy's response to me calling him out for promoting specific weapons he would use to attack a mosque, for advocating that migrants crossing the border into this country be gunned down by military planes, and for telling a polyamorous female that he hoped one of her lovers would beat her to near-death:

Who the fuck cares about splitting hairs over his "intentions" in making these violent statements in the first place. Intentions don't mean shit. Advocating violence to enforce your views is wrong, and his statement above indicates that he feels entitled to promote this sort of violence.

His more recent statement in this thread indicates that what his said is perfectly fine because he did not get banned for it. So what? Shit-posters on Lit also don't always get banned for making overtly racist statements. That's Lit's decision if they want to allow posters to promote violent terrorism or a forum for racism, but it does not make it right.

Rob (posting as Rob) has one more post attempting to justify his virulent displays of racism than he has posters stepping forward to outright reject his rationalizations. Twenty-three individuals have stepped up to reject his whine that mean people "make" him spew the racism and other bigoted ideas that are part of who he is at a base level.
