My husband came home from work with books one of women in his office had sent home for me. Seven copier paper boxes full of them! All current mysteries and best sellers, only about a dozen of which I'd already read. A couple of ones I'd been waiting to read; the next ones in several series I liked; complete runs of an author's works and even a few my husband reads. I spent the better part of Saturday morning arranging them on my formerly sparsely occupied bookshelves. I now have hundreds of new reads, just waiting for me. Well, except for the three I've already devoured.

I'm in heaven! :cathappy:

Advice to your hubby : Domino Delivers!

Aren't you the lucky one. :D

A virtual literary treasure trove.

Better stock up on frozen dinners. ;)

Sparsely occupied bookshelves??? You witch! ;) Don't taunt me! I'm drowning in books here, doing my best to shovel them out the door! *I'm* the one who needs sparsely occupied bookshelves!

How lucky!

Only because the other books I'd already read were stacked in piles around the house waiting to go to the used book store. I've filled the seven boxes and still have some in the corner. There is no such thing as a permanently sparsely filled bookshelf.

I'm still giving books away. The boot (trunk) of my car is full of the next lot to go.

The National Trust has had seven tonnes of books from me. I'm getting close to the eighth...

I would absolutely love for someone to give me boxes of books. I devour them quickly, so they never last long enough!

me too.

Although, I've gotten at least one book in the mail every day for about the last week. Today I got three.

I love bookmooch.

I thought about trying that, but I got rid of most of my books when we thought we were moving. Now I only have a few paperbacks and my Harry Potter books (and they aren't going anywhere.)
