What books do you recommend to others?
Which one or series could you not put down?

I'm in a bit of a reading slump and looking to branch out.

We listen and we don't judge... a lot... out loud anyway.

The Twisted Series from Ana Huang if you haven't read them already. Cora Reily has some great books too, I could recommend Bound by love and Bound by duty

I like all of those but I'm a sucker for steam and spice.
I've read a couple why choose that were super good

Back in the 1980s the (now) late Paul O. Williams wrote a series of 7 sci-fantasy novels collectively entitled The Pelbar Series. It takes place 1,000 years after an accidental nuclear war destroyed civilization and the survivors are beginning to contact others in the former USA. The Pelbar are a civilization run by women (named for Amanda Pell) in a few small seashell-shaped cities in the mid-Mississippi Valley. They're surrounded by roaming tribes, some friendly, some not. They've heard of eastern cities and send a man there to see if they can trade. The series involves a married couple and their travails, as well as other major characters. There are clues all around them as to what happened, but when they encountered a sealed nuclear shelter containing the cloned versions of 1980s scientists, the past starts to be revealed. I found this series (the first book is called The Breaking of Northwall) while in grad school and have been a major fan ever since. I re-read every few years because it's so exciting and detailed.

Btw: be warned. Some of these are dark
