So I'm wondering... what is considered normal for people to shave or trim? What parts do you think should be left alone?

Most women may shave their legs and under arms. I also think pussy trimming/shaving is a common thing, bikini area trims being the most common.

Men commonly shave their face, and I think genital shaving/trimming is becoming common.

But do you shave/trim other areas? What about your arms? Legs (men)? Back? Butt cheeks? Ass crack? Stomach? If you do, would you consider someone who doesn't unsanitary? Unattractive?

Is this becoming common?

I dont shave nothing cept to keep my pubes trimmed. and I dont shave my face unless Im with someone that prefers it clean shaven.. (its my mark of singlehood)

Other than that.. God gave men body hair for one overriding reason.. Traction. and I aint messin with his master plan

I was with a guy who shaved everything (including his head)except for his pubes (those were trimmed). He was heavily into bodybuilding, so I think that had something to do with it.

It was kind of weird being with someone who had less hair than I did- lol.

Answering my own question...

I shave all the normal things girls should, and I completely shave my pussy from time to time. I would consider shaving the crack if I could figure out a way to see back there! Neck cramp! (Not that there's a whole bunch of hair back there, )

I've never really expected a guy to shave anything, I'm cool with goatee's and beards. His package is trimmed? Thank you! Shaved? Ooooh baby!

But today I had a guy try and tell me that it's normal for men to trim their arm, butt, and leg hair. I know swimmers do this to make their times better, but I never imagined the average male did too.

But maybe I don't get out enough?

Most of the guys I know don't trim much beyond face and head. But to each his own.

A suggestion. why not have a S/O trim your little nether region if you can't get to it. That sounds like it could lead to some extra hot sex afterward!

The only thing most NORMAL men shave is thier face. It's becoming more popular to shave the Love Muscle too. Now arms, legs, and butt..... I just don't know about that. I'm not saying it's bad, but most guys do not shave those places.

Well that's what I was hoping! Cause' if they shave all that stuff, then we have to shave all that stuff. And frankly, I don't want to spend that much time grooming myself. I shudder just thinking about all the painful positions I'd have to put myself in just to trim the butt cheeks!

I shave my face (mostly the goatee area as I don't grow much hair on my face anyway) and typically trim my pubic hair. Occasionally, i'll shave it all off.. just depends on my mood..

If i'm going to make a liquid latex shirt to go out for an evening i'll shave my armpits but only then.

all other hair stays where it is...

I have yet to meet a man that continually shaves his legs that isn't a swimmer or a transvestite... not saying it doesn't happen, i just don't run into them.

I use Magic for my nethers.

Otherwise, I'm not that hairy anyway, so I don't bother.

I know a lot of male bicyclists that shave their legs. The bicycling shorts/pants tend to yank the hairs out for you if you don't.

The "ridding the body of all hair" seems to be popular with a lot of the gymnasium body builders..

Normal is relative. I keep what I want and get rid of what I don’t, which is almost everything. I don’t like body hair. Most of it is gone. The hair on my head is long. It reaches right above my butt. That’s basically the only place I want hair right now.

As far as what the guy has... I really don't mind.

I'd say trimming the pubes is perfectly acceptable for me. You clear the woods before you start the construction work, right?

Totally shaved down there might be nice for a suprise, but it's annoying to do consistently, and I think it's mostly a novelty. I don't mind a little hair. Adds texture.

Nothing about shaving is "natural." Hair grows where it does, that's natural. Everything else is convention or "fashion." I shave my face because I don't have a very full beard, and it's looks rather shabby unshaven. And I guess I'm the opposite of Patient1, 'cause if I don't shave my chin for a couple of days, it gets all raw. I used to have a moustache, till it turned all white. I think a lot more men keep the pubes trimmed than in the past, but again, it's just style. I met a guy once who was totally hairless, a medical condition called 'alapecia' I believe (don't quote me): I remarked his lack of head hair (including eye brows and even eyelashes) to the person who introduced us, and he told me what it was.

Well, body hair is made obsolete by clothes. If we all ran naked around the Savannah, as we are designed to do (from an evolutionary standpoint), then I would not suggest shaving a thing, as hair regulates temperature and prevents certain diseases. But in this day and age, I think it's totally up to the person.

For me, relatively speaking, the penis looks bigger without as much hair, so good-bye hair!
