Missingmeds - Exactly!

I had to laugh when a friend of ours commented "Aww, he (Dirk) does have a soft side" after he'd been talking about a bird he'd nicknamed Limpy on our honeymoon at Heron Island. I laughed more inside than out though wondering why she would think I would marry someone who didn't have a soft side!

It has been sad for me though to know that over the past 18 mths - 2 years I have struggled with alot of issues and that not even my husband's sweet, heartfelt words (like the post you referred to) could even help me....depression is a terrible thing...but recently I am getting ALOT better.

Missingmeds - There could be so much more, the whole story of gG and myself being together then breaking up and getting back together again then getting married is one that could fill out a few episodes of a day time TV drama!

There is so much I could say on the subject that I had to cut it down, gG is my lover, my best friend my Wife. Life without her is almost unbearable to comprehend.

And today for some reason I feel compelled not just to tell her these things, because indeed I tell her similar things to these quite often or maybe not often enough ?, but to tell everyone who would take the time to read it.

What is it that makes me feel so full of words of expression? I don't know, but it feels like it used too, when thoughts would flow from mind to paper, pages and pages of letters sent then eagerly waiting for gG to write back.

There is something about committing a thought, a feeling to paper OR a forum that makes it just that little more real, something tangible, to refer to, not fleeting like spoken words. Though the spoken word has as much power in a different way.

I'll end by saying this, gG as corny as it is, you do complete me. You have made me grow further than I had imagined. You support me the way I need to be. You know when to back off, you know when to pursue! You understand me the way no one else ever has and though you may think your efforts are not good enough, I am telling you now that they inspire me to be a better person and I feel that I do not deserve you!

The reason I can question and argue higher social and moral issues is because I have you at my side and our relationship as my foundation, without you I would not be who I am today!

I, for one, don't see anything at all corny about anything that you have said Dirk and I don't believe that your wife has either. Nor any other woman that reads it.

GeishaGirl, hang in there. I know that it is a struggle, but you have someone that will be there for you no matter what, and lots of people here that will support you.

Depression touches alot of lives and support can come from unexpected places.
