Just thought that everyone should know that our baby Blue is undergoing some tough times right now (see below) and wanted to provide a centralized thread to let her know she is in our thoughts. {{{{Blue}}}}

Everyone....this is the letter I am sending to all my friends who have been praying for/thinking of my family during this difficult time. I can not write to everyone individually, so please accept this as our heartfelt thanks.....



My family and I want to thank all of you who have so diligently prayed for the safe return of my sister's in-laws. Unfortunately God does not always answer our prayers in the manner which we would prefer.

They are now with God. They no longer have to face the strife of this world. They obeyed the Gospel of our Lord 16 years ago and have been faithful to Him ever since, so we rest easy in the knowledge of their eternal life with their Lord.

The only thing I know at this point is that they were found near the ship channel in Corpus Christi, and were shot.

We will never know, in this earthly life, why things happen the way they do. They were kind, loving people. They would have given their car, money, jewelry, anything. Shooting them served no purpose that we can understand. Maybe One Day we will.

Thanks again for your prayers. My sister asked me to thank everyone who has been keeping them in their prayers and thoughts.

I did not about what you were going through until Bashful started this thread. My heart goes out to you and your family during this time. It is so hard to understand why/how something like this happens. But at least you have the comfort to know that they were good faithful people and that they are now in Heaven to watch over all of you. I lost my mom in Oct and still have some rough times, if you ever need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on feel free to pm me. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. x12

I don't know what to say other than "thank you", to Bash, and all of you. I'm literally sitting here with tears in my eyes after reading through the posts. This community is populated by very wonderful, loving people, and I feel grateful to be a part of it.

I had just finished posting a followup on a couple of threads where I'd talked about it previously, so I will just give a nutshell update here. The murderer was found, and when confronted he pulled a gun on the police. They shot and killed him. They are interviewing a teenage boy who was with him, so hopefully we will know more about the "why" soon.

Although there's nothing online about this particular tragedy from Corpus Christi, it seems there's a rash of home invasions going on there against elderly people.

It sounds like a dangerous place to live; all the best to you in getting through your troubles.

Actually, Corpus Christi usually isn't a dangerous place to live at all. It is my hometown, and we go back about 2-3 times a year to visit our families. But this is certainly true, about the current rash of crimes against the elderly.

Yes, I read there and in the local online paper about the recent spate of crimes in a particular neighborhood....Hampstead I think if memory serves. Compared to most parts of Canada it sounds pretty spooky.

Lance, the situation currently ongoing in Corpus Christi really isn't much different than any large metropolitan city in America, I think. It is just very unusual for Corpus Christi. And it is "in our face" right now, I think, because it has hit "home", because it involves a member of the Lit family.
