Oh this is just too damned good. I'm sitting here with my wife watching her new Video of the Blue Man Group.

If you haven't seen them, their videos or their ads they are truly different.

Think good rock, think three drummers, think Mimes who happen to be the drummers, think three drummer mimes in strange outfits with a sense of humor. Now you have the Blue Man Group.

I've seen them live twice. The first time I think was the original group in Boston, then a few years ago in Vegas. Good times.

I saw their show in Vegas - really good stuff!
My favorite bit was when they did (if I recall correctly...) the Jefferson Airplane song 'White Rabbit', with commentary on three different screens for three different subsets of the audience. Also, I loved the finale with the streamers passed from row to row in the audience. At one point, they got a guy form the audience and put him in coveralls, then suspended him and covered him in paint and then swung him into a canvas to make a painting. :D

Though I didnt know they had a video...maybe will have to put that on a hint list for mothers day for te hubby. If he can find it by sunday that is. :D

For a very long time (longer than I remember, though that doesn't take much) Bston has had a Blue Man Group at the Charles playhouse...only a little over an hour away, and I still have yet to go see them...And me, with a BA in theater...I've always been so ashamed of that fact

Great Show

I saw them seven or eight years ago in Chicago. Incredible show. The streamers Huckleman mentioned were huge rolls of toilet paper. No one in the theater was left uncovered by the time the TP finished unrolling. The audience was in tears with laughter.

Of course, it didn't hurt the show that the theater had a large sign on the door telling patrons they were welcome to take their alcoholic drinks to their seats, or that the bar remained open throughout the show.
