And they are ?

1. The 3 Paradigm Theory (Realism, Liberalism, Structuralism) and Middle East International Politics.

2a. Has oil enhanced the autonomy of the Middle East states or deepend dependency. Examine such episodes as the oil embargo and boom and the Gulf War. (I know my answer to that one)
2b. How has the changing shape of the international system affected the Middle East -- notably the rise and decline of bi-polarity and the consequent emergence in and retreat of the USSR from the area.

Damn, Halo wish I could be there to help you get tired.

Good luck!

Is that a threat or a promise? :D

Aphrodisiac: Deadlines suck - big time. :D

Halo :rose:

I try not to make threats, my lovely.

I see you have a couple light topics on which to theorize. Good luck with that. I've just read John Stuart Mill's essay on Civil Liberty again. Although I'm not his theories apply directly to your topics, he does offer some interesting points, and civil liberties seem to be a rather hot topic among westerners and their view or mid-east societies.

i just hate chewing all the theory through again - I know its important, I know it is essential for an organic analysis of foreign policy, but it is just soooo boring. Plus, there is no right and no wrong answer. *sighs* I probably read one of the most boring articles you can imagine today called "Neoutilitarianism and the Social Constrictivist Challange"
Being a finalist sucks - not even my professor is a cutie this semester :D

Halo :rose:

P.S.: So wanna get busy, dawgie? :D

Halo :rose:

Sorry apart from bones and how make cats run, I am not good at theory.
Beside you should be at least an answer for each Middle East states. I cannot imagine something good for Lebanon and Yemen.

Wanna take me out for a walk instead ?

Perhaps should get my housemate on here, her course seems to be entirely to do with the international politics of the middle east. (Only just before Christmas I typed up her assay on how propaganda and religious polarisation after 9/11 affected how the USA needed to act in order to maintain the alliance against the Taliban.)

Right now she's reading about the 6 Day War.

If you want I could try to persuade her to talk to you on MSN. Perhaps you could give her the subjects you need to know about and she could come up with key points.

It's a suggestion, but with one day left you might be better off just plowing ahead with it.

If it makes you feel any better one of the best essays I ever wrote was produced in similar circumstances. My Tutor said (to the head of the course, I heard about it from him) that it was the best piece he had ever seen from an undergraduate.

Damn sloppy these geology undergraduates.:D

You mean there is such a thing as an essay that ISN'T produced under those circumstances?

<blinking>

4.41am and 3 orgasms later.... still not tired

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Halo :rose:

Oh I do so hate that 4 AM not tired feeling.

At this point I'd just concentrate on relaxing, I wouldn't "try" to sleep. Trying to capture sleep when it's being an elusive pain in the ass usually exhausts me more than anything. Make yourself as comfortable as possible, and just... be. :)

Almost there ....

Lildevil ....

Are you almost there ....

As in finishing at least one paper ?? :)

I just finished my presentation & I have come to the point where that is all I am doing .... *ack* :p

Now I am going to write my paper.... as soon as I take a mini nap. *Zzzzzz*

Lots of luck .... and enjoy. :D

Consider the fact that many countries played the US and USSR against each other.

Well if you won't help us out, or give us tanks, I am sure they will... Worked very well. That is why so many Middle East countries have older models of Soviet air craft, tanks, and anti-air systems.

It wasn't just military support, but economic support as well. Same deal, be our friend, help us, or we are sure they will help us.

Suddenly one side is gone. Can't support their own economy or military. Those that took their support from the USSR found themselves in deep doo doo.

The US wasn't in a big hurry to help the others any more either. Why should we?

Not a full answer but a help I hope.
