Blocking voting? What's the consequence?

Anyone knows how the Works section looks when authors block the possibility to vote on their story?

Does he/she still can see the voting in the panel, but they are hidden for readers?
Would it be possible to UNDO it? And letting the ratings be public again? (If the author changes his/her mind)

I blocked all voting for half a year when the entire list was attacked from November of 2021 until I did block. Yes, I could see the votes on my page and, yes, everything was restored (from the time of blocking) when I turned it on again. Each entry has a place to turn voting and comments on/off, as you wish.

I don't think that any score will show up anywhere, but I have never blocked voting, so I could not say for sure.

The main consequence of blocking voting is that your story will not be listed on the Top Lists and will not be eligible for contests or reader's choice awards, even if you only block voting on them temporarily.
