Basic rule of Black Star Legacy
Everything cost points or experience
You start with 1000 points
You earn 100 points per turn
With more planets you earn more money
With more people you earn more money

You design ships based on points
The more points the more the ship cost to build
Engines how fast you can go and well you can dodge enemy fire
Weapons how much damage you dish out
Cargo room for special gear and cargo
Shields how much damage you can take
Sensors exploration and the chance of hitting what you shoot at

You have five parts to a turn
Part one Exploration (search for planets)
Part two Research (new technology)
Part Three Movement (move you’re fleets)
Part four Diplomacy (talk or trade with other players)
Part five free turn (do any of the first four)

Possible future elements
Trade
Sabotage
Espionage

any help or sugestion would be welcome

Sorry I wasn't clear in my PM.

I was wondering about what species are available to play. I most often times play humans, but I like them to have history or sometimes enhanced (nothing wild but changed from experience). I like roleplaying as well with my strategy, and I love adding flavor to combat. I love having a number of characters and given ships names. If you check out some of my earlier threads here you will see I like strategy/roleplay games.

You have posted a lot on how to get started...now I want to know a little about the favor of your universe. I take it your an anime fan?

Humanity in the Black star universe
Humanity first spread through the universe in a mythical vessel known as the ark and alien ship that defied the laws of the universe. Humanity found new arks and continued to expand reverse engineering the technology of the arks. By the first sunder humans lived on hundreds of worlds. Fighting on many worlds reduced many of them back to pre space flight technology. A galactic war using asteroids wiped out every space capable human culture in the spiral arm. Those who had been spared the war climbed back into space changed by there experience. Forced outside there comfortable home they were bio-formed to meet the demands of there environment.

Kabala
The kabala were one of the extreme cases a world of perpetual night and day, life was only possible at a narrow band around the equator. Some say the Kabala were driven mad others say they evolved to new heights. What ever the case the brain separated along the equator into two separate brains. So seeing a Kabala talking to itself would not be an uncommon sight. The paranoid kabala say you cant even trust yourself no wonder they place almost no value on negations trusting not to trust. The kabala have kept there hoe world a closely guarded secret, to the point of using human analogues instead of navigation computers.

The conclave
under construction
