If you consider the shooting of Mike Brown to be political, then this is too because it is a continuation of that story.

Personally, I do not consider the shooting in MO to be political. It was strictly a matter of a cop defending himself against the attack of an angry thug. I don't know about the shooting in FL this morning.

I wonder if Obama will say anything about the murders of the two cops. After all, if he had a son, the son might have looked like one of those victims.

In recent months we have seen a parade of police murders

In every case the law has failed their communities and let the murders go free.

These cops who were killed most likely supported their fellow officers as they committed their crimes. That makes them as guilty as the grand juries that always find a way to let the cops off.

A few years ago I knew a woman who took a job as a prison guard. One day she witnessed a confrontation between a guard and an inmate. She didn't file a complaint, but she told the guard who had beat the inmate that she thought that he had overreacted.

The woman was let go two weeks later. A few months later I did a motorcycle seat for the captain of the guards at that same prison. I asked him about the girl's case and why she was let go.

He told me that the other guards mistrusted her to back them up in a case where they might need backing up. In other words you have to make a choice, you are either with them, no matter what crimes the guards might commit or you are against them and they will get rid of you as soon as possible.

I think this same situation exist in the police. These two cops might not have did anything wrong, but they knew men who did and they kept their mouths shut to keep their job.
