I've long felt that there should be a threshold, say for example, two years on the site with ten published submissions and no violations of site rules, after which authors would be able to self edit their work without going through the current lengthy process. If they violated the rules, they would lose the privilege.

Yes - it would be nice to have good behavior rewarded.

I dont mind having it as draft and release for publishing again -sometimes it is really worth my time and I will save Admins work. Right now, as a stupid solution I am asking them to remove +/-30 chapters which I will edit rfo msctratch and publish again. Simply because those were my first ever chapters and I have grown as a writer.

Regarding the use of "preaching," I was definitely not urging or moralizing.

The ones who made silly database comments, they simply do not know how to set up an interface.
It is exactly the same as publishing something here. Checking a box called "Edit" or "Set as draft" would suffice.

Can somebody delete this thread? I can't.

When it comes to repetitive threads, I try to remind myself that there's a constant influx of new contributors, and typically they don't take the time to mine this forum's 25 year history to find out if a subject has been covered before, nor is it reasonable to suppose that they would. As Lovecraft points out, conversation would be cut roughly in half here without repetition.
