The Kodiak, grizzly, and brown bear are the same animal, Ursus arctos. The Kodiak population is slightly divergent from the others, but all are the same species.

I personally belong to the minority who think the polar bear is a subspecies of the brown bear.

My buds the Kodiak bears are quite a bit larger and scarier than polar bears. I'll just stay away from the Arctic Ocean.

I also feel I've bumped up awareness and discussion of anthros by existing as a minor chaos goblin in AH, and I'm super happy about that
