Bitching about Boston

Is this, what it was like to be at the London Olympics ?

Bruins game-

There was heightened security at TD Garden where cars entering the garage were searched,
and fans were checked with wands and patted down.

Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs pledged $100,000 to The One Fund Boston, the charity established to help families affected by the bombing;
the Garden, the NHL and the players association pledged $50,000 each.

National Anthem was sung.

Why Holy Cross ? I am guessing, is that is because it is large enough, to fit the amount of people who wish to attend.

It is close to many hospitals.

Why cover the plaza with sand? Why have dump trucks full of sand, standing by ?

Rupert Murdoch's New York Post slimes a teen in high school who was at track with the rest of the team. (At the time of the bombings.)

Truth does not matter ? Rupert Murdoch put the picture of teen's face out there, with a lie! (That the teen was one of the Boston bomb men.)

What if someone did this, to Your Child ? Nothing matters to Rupert Murdoch, but money.

Well, what do you know-

The New York Post: the game is up for Murdoch's plaything

15 April 2013

Murdoch's once-mighty tabloid toy is out of time

Murdoch himself, since has acquisition of the Wall Street Journal, in 2008, has reluctantly distanced himself
from the [New York] Post, letting it become an increasingly sclerotic and gothic enterprise, full of aging figures.

The hacking scandal in London has made the New York Post's characteristic behavior – its bar-tab relationship with the New York
City police; the payoffs the paper has admitted taking (not least of all by Johnson for favorable Page Six coverage); and its
standard operating procedure of pressuring its opponents with attacks in the paper – a red flag to the company's lawyers in New York.

"If you have any juice inside of News Corp, you are negotiating yourself out of the Post," said a senior News Corp source last week.

Students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are being told to stay indoors because of an active shooter on campus Thursday night.

The university issued their first alert at 10:48 p.m.: "There are gunshots reported in the vicinity of Building 32 (Stata Center). Area is cordoned off. Stay away from area."

An MIT police officer was reported shot, according to audio of MIT dispatch radio chatter posted online. An officer described the suspected shooter as a black male wearing black clothing and weighing approximately 120 pounds.

They have a police truck parked on Memorial Bridge ? The Boston Police are in on the police car swarm.

What is going on, on Mt Auburn St, in Watertown ?

Hmmm....tons of Federal vehicles involved.
They are looking for"something."

I just saw a heavy armored vehicle with camo.

The reason for the ladder trucks, at the scene of the MIT murder- They just finished checking the top of a light pole.
There was an object on the light pole. (They made sure that it was not a bomb.)

What were the Marathon Bomb men, doing at MIT ?

OK They are turning to filler-
Interview at Beth Israel Deaconess
doctors who worked on Marathon bomber man #1
who was in cardiac arrest on arrival

They are not telling who the patient was

Carry on, it is 5:30 in the morning-
I was tired at 5:30 in the evening, yesterday!

Zzzzzzz *poof* gone

I wake up, and the first thing I hear is a young woman talking about going to school with suspect #1. He shot someone else ? MBTA employee.
All MBTA lines are suspended. No one, is going anywhere.
The suspect has been driving a grey Honda. The TV station has shown the plate number.
They are patrolling all the colleges he attended.
The search area extends all the way to Brookline.

Why, these two brothers ?

Why is this young man, still running around, loose ?

They kicked the media off, from the top of the Lexus dealership. Still on Arsenal St. in Watertown. The security teams are setting up snipers.

Confirmation. Yes. The whole MBTA has been shut down. How is that, even possible ?

"....two brothers who came from southern Russia, near war-torn Chechnya, more than five years ago,
and assimilated through school and sports into the Greater Boston community and culture."

State Police spokesman- State police truck, was stolen last night.

This, all started off, with the robbery of a 7-11.

All of Boston is under lock-down, and no one is supposed to open their businesses ?

All the taxi cabs were under shut down until right now.

Some kind of mad scramble, as the security forces detected someone moving close to the media teams.
The media people were forced to leave their vehicles running, and forced to leave their equipment where it was.

Now, they are given a chance to retrieve their stuff and vehicles, but must move away, once again.

Gov. Deval L. Patrick and Mayor Menino due to give a conference talk.

Wow Government Center is as quiet as a grave. The Big Apple Circus had to cancel all of their performances for today.

Haymarket is dead and deserted. What surprises me is the lack of news helicopters.

When something minor or major happens, like a car accident, or a robbery of a bank, the helicopters buzz like a hive of hornets.

There was one helicopter around the time the MIT police officer was shot. Since then ? Nothing.

Commuter flights are still going over my house, though.

Gov Patrick speaks up- Please continue staying indoor, keep your doors locked unless a policeman in uniform.
Mayor Menino said- Do not leave home until Public Safety official says so.
Spokesman for MA Sate Police,70 per cent certain where suspect is. Have new leads on location.

Will be a controlled explosion Norfolk Street house in Watertown.

Mike stand with 15 microphone from all the TV stations on it, awkward and heavy.

Press Conference-

If you are at work- Go Home
Drive home, get a cab, have friends pick you up.
Go home, and "Shelter in Place," at home.

(They did not say- if your home is in the humongous search area, you cannot go home. They are getting strict with media people.)

Let's start a collection of Homeland Security buzzwords!

15 police officers were treated for injuries, at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Brighton. One police officer at Mt. Auburn hospital in Watertown.

All from last night's shootout ? Not confirmed, yet.
