So I shit canned my digital camera and my scanner so my dsl works.

I think I have a driver problem of some sort!

no seriously.. You don't need to see them
I'll be the judge of that. Get to work with the digicam, you don't need the scanner if the cam's working.

nope the dsl is on an ethernet connection

digital camera and scanner are on the same usb cord. I use the same cord.. I just unplug the one I don't want to use and plug the cord into the one I want to use.

It was working fine until I downloaded the software for the dsl modem (atleast I think it was).

My digital camera drivers keep disappearing. It's like my computer figures I'm not using it so it will get rid of them.

I tried reinstalling the drivers.. but for some reason MGI Photosuite isn't recognizing my camera or scanner.

Is the camera an auto-connect?
If not try renaming the drive, maybe its an issue with Photosuite and not the camera/scanner.

<----------how's that?

:D

cybergirly.. I've tried everything. I'm downloading a new photo program to see if that works better.

The judge says:
Yes, indeed, raindancer DID need to see those.

Do it again. :D

My camera hooks up by USB, but I've never had to install any drivers for it. The computer just sees the camera as another HD.

Is it a digital camera or a digital netcam?

it is a cool-i-cam movi digital camera.

It can be a digital camera, a web cam and it also does digital video.

it was a cheapy..

I had another bit of advice but after the new av...

mmm I forgot what I was gonna say.

Cheapy or not, that camera's got a lot of features.

Silly question, but have you tried using the other USB ports on the PC?

yep...

My computer is now saying the camera is connected. But MGI isn't finding it. So I downloaded and I'm installing a trial version of another program. I'll see if that helps any.

I use PaintShopPro myself....it has a nice browse feature (not sure if PhotoShop has one like it) and you can browse flash cards/compact flash as well as Mini-HD's...so you can see the pictures while they are still on the Camera.

MGI came with the scanner.. and yes you can browse the pictures while they are still on the camera.

The new program was a "free" trial.. but the "trial" time is already up. I guess it's only 10 minutes long or something. They want me to buy it. So I shit canned it.

*sigh* I guess I'll have to reinstall MGI.. see if that is my problem.

ugh

it was easily fixed. I reinstalled the MGI photosuite program. Guess I should have tried that first.
