I'm just at the end of my birthday. I was to dinner tonight with a friend and we talked about our favorite birthday memories.

Most of my birthdays have been while on summer vacation. I'd say my birthday 2 years ago was pretty amazing. Sunset on a Florida beach with my family.... simple, yet so very perfect.

When I was ten and my dog took a huge chunk out of my B-day cake. Wasn't a happy memory at the time, but now I can't help but think back and smile.

I always wonder what I would do with a summer birthday. Relaxing on a beach sounds nice.

It's hard sometimes getting lost in the Christmas rush.

My best memory is going fishing with my grandfather when I was 10. I didn't know how much effort it took for him to do that, a month later he went to the hospital and passed away there. My grandmother told me later he wouldn't go in until after he took me fishing. Still the best gift ever.

I guess I could say... my favorite gift was for my 13th birthday. I received a beautiful photo album after a trip to Ireland. I still have the album and it reminds me of my first major trip.
