A question, I forgot to take my pill on Saturday, when i woke up Sunday I remembered and took it, then forgot to take Sundays pill, so i took two on Monday, then Tuesday I forgot my pill and had unprotected sex. What are the odds of me getting pregnant? HELP!!!!!

The odds of getting pregnant really depend on what phase of your cycle your in right now. If you are not sure then it would be best to ask your doc asap.

Ive heard that if you miss and have unprotected sex the chance of getting pregnant is bigger than if you just did it normally. I dont mean to frighten you.
My gf takes injections every 3 months, they cost about $100 AUS, but they are well worth it. Anytime, anyplace, and you dont need to worry.

you should definately not be on the pill. Get the injections. If you're forgetting your pill that often, then you're gonna have occurrances like this a lot. It's so not worth it.

Be very cautious when considering the depo provera shot. There have been a few threads about it recently. I had severe problems with the injection and have developed other problems because of it.

Out of curiosity, what problems are those? My gf gets the injection and the only problem she has is that she sometimes feels sick for a few hours after having her renewal injection.
Of course there is the 'long term use' possibility that your chances of concieving later may be reduced, however that happens with the pill too so there is no difference in that respect.

When I was on the injection, I had hair loss to the point of pulling clumps of hair out. I had weight gain, severe depression, constant bleeding, headaches, no interest in sex, tired all the time. I had to go off the injection and it took two years to get it out of my system. Two years is also the amount of time most doctors say it takes to become pregnant after stopping the injection.

It might be a good point to remember, that there are side-effects that are possible with EVERY SINGLE drug you take.

Depo-provera/depo-ralovera has just as many proven side effects as the pill, the only difference is that you have to put up with side effects for three months, whereas you can stop the pill whenever you like.

Maybe for those people who are concerned about this drug, keep in mind that it is tested thoroughly, and although there is plenty of evidence against it, people don't generally pipe up when something is working (they wait until they need to complain)

Well, here's one. I have had the injectables for nearly a year, and the only side effect has been an increased appetite (which I had with the pill too) I'm on it because I forgot to take the pill, my doctor explained that if the pill is not taken within the same two hours of every day, it has about a 10% decreased rate of effectiveness, more for teenagers and 20-somethings like me who are more fertile (and that's not something I wanted to chance)

My libido is raging as per usual, nothing went wrong.

Just thought I'd provide another side to the story, because I wont be joining any 'class action law suit', however, I do sympathise for those with health problems.

You're very lucky in that you've had no side affects from Depo. There are some people who have posted on that message board who have had good experiences. I had a friend that was on it with absolutely no problems but my experience was very different.

The injection isnt bad for everyone so it is whatever works for you. I mean god, some men are actually allergic to condoms, they get rashes and iches and sometimes even blisters, so just because the injection had a bad effect on sabbathstorm doesnt mean it will for everyone. Just like people can die from simply sniffing peanuts, yet i cant get enough of them.

Oops! I put something in the center of the post and it didn't show up as me writing it...sorry....

The side effects you listed are known side effects. They are listed in the insert too, if I am not mistaken. My MD also explained ALL of these things prior to giving me the injection.

DepoProvera is not the right drug for everyone. Heck, Aspirin isn't good for everyone...doesn't mean that everyone should discount it as a medication....same with DepoProvera.
