I was listening to a scientist tonight (British), that touted that within a year, the technology will be in place to be able to determine a person's mental status.
It will be mated to the existing million biometric cameras in existence in the UK, and could be used to "flag" a citizen that may not be aware of a mental condition.
This concerns me greatly, as government could come and commit you to a mental health facility, just for fitting a profile.
The UK is pushing for identity cards with all kinds of additional data points, which would incorporate the new technology well.
Does this bother anyone else but me?
You could be walking down the street, concerned about bills, your spouse, your kids, and be commited for being human.
Do you think the government will abuse that technology?
