I'm loving CHYOO right now, i think its the best idea of a story site ever, but it kills me that its relatively quiet! I love coming in to see that a thread has been approved, or that someone is writing for me, or that someone left me a note, its great! but it doesn't happen every day. I'd love for it to grow into a massive community, but do people worry that lots of people using it would spoil it?

I don't really worry about that, as if more people add to my stories that would be great. To some extent Chyoo is a decent sized community, some authors are more active than others and some authors tend to stick to certain genres.

My activity...

Hello,
well lately my activity has been mainly focused on these message boards. I haven't be able to write much lately. It's not a lack of ideas, because my head is full of them. It's a lack of motivation really. I haven't been able to kick myself in the ass enough to actually write for a while. I forced myself to write a thread a couple days ago for Deathofcards' story Rock Festival. I won't put up a link, because I know Zingiber enjoys putting in a reply for a link. LoL. Just playing with you Z. The thread turned out pretty good, I think.

Here is where my lack of motivation comes from. I haven't recieved too many comments on my writing lately. I have quite a few votes which I am happy that the chyoo'ers have given me a 4.5/5 overall rating. That's pretty good. I am a little disapointed in the way Chyoo displays the editor feedback on new threads. When you aprove one and add a comment, in order for me to see that I have to go to that thread, be loged in, and then click on add new thread. It's kind of silly. I miss the way the old comments section was set up.

And I really miss the "View previous thread" link, for editing. When you have a big story it's a bitch trying to locate the thread on the thread map. Don't get me wrong, I love the thread map! It's a great feature. I think Chyoo has the potential to be great, and when it happens, those who stuck around will be very happy!

Right now, I am off to inform new writers that these forums exist!

I'm trying to get in the mood right now. Normally I have no problem with getting motivated at the moment I'm kind of stuck. Nothing to do with Chyoo, more just due to being up stupidly late as I seem to becoming addicted to Big Brother on UK TV.

Tim's thread for Rockfestival is really good, and I'm appreciative of it. I'll not post a link either.

Heck, it's been two weeks. It's no longer new, what's the point of posting a link? :p

Besides, who looks in the Site Feedback forum anyway?

I should have acted sooner, oh well the thread is linked in my stories section.
