Biden senile?

The only reason they say he's senile is 1) because of his age and they want to make it sound like a bad thing even though he's not much older than trump. 2) because of the slow manner of how he speaks, which is only because he he admits he has a life long stuttering problem and people with that problem often speak slowly to concentrate on their words.

they also like to bring up a few gaffs he made, but if his gaffs mean senility then trump's gaffs mean he he has full scale dementia.

...

He's made gaffes his entire career, mostly out of excessive glibness.

I'll say what I've said before: if you've ever been around someone who is genuinely senile, you immediately appreciate the difference between that and Biden, who has the same issue as a lot of 75+ people in that he can't always bring the right word to mind right away. (And since you mentioned Trump, aside from his always having been titanically dumb, he obviously sounds different today than he did 10 or so years ago. He's slowed down too.)

But does his mental state need to be monitored more frequently going forward than if he was, say, 60? Absolutely.

You never saw Trump stuttering through an impromptu press encounter. Obama did this all of the time. He was lost without his teleprompter, as honest people would admit. Try this link:

Good Lord.:rolleyes::D

This was Trump answering a question about his priorities for a second term. "Gettysburg: The Sequel" it is not.

"Well, one of the things that will be really great, you know, the word experience is still good. I always say talent is more important than experience. I've always said that. But the word experience is a very important word. It's a very important meaning. I never did this before, I never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington I think 17 times, all of a sudden I'm the president of the United States. You know the story. I'm riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our First Lady and I say 'This is great.' But I didn't know very many people in Washington, it wasn't my thing. I was from Manhattan, from New York. Now I know everybody. And I have great people in the administration. You make some mistakes, like, you know, an idiot like Bolton, all he wanted to do was drop bombs on everybody. You don't have to drop bombs on everybody. You don't have to kill people."

Trump just told any old lie that come to mind.

it is different when you are trying to be thoughtful and discuss actual policy in actual context of a real world.

Joe’s gotta stop the exaggerated whispering into the microphone accentuated with facial expressions. So creepy!

And we remember how he went off the rails and say whatever crazy shit that comes to mind. It actually made members of his staff nervous when he randomly says a bunch of stuff that they later have to clarify and make excuses for.

There's nothing wrong with using a teleprompter, it's been used by every politician on both sides. It's hard to come up with and memorize a new speech at every event you go to, especially around election time.

At least with a teleprompter you can have a speech ready, a speech that would make sure you say the right things a majority of the time.

Trump could've save himself a lot of trouble if he just read a speech instead of just ad-libbing.

It's fascinating how tenaciously the board Trumpettes pick a Trump weakness to try to attack someone else for. :D

When Obama was in office, it was always very clear that RWs used the word "teleprompter" as a racial dogwhistle, to show this negro was not really as "articulate" as he appeared to be.

LOL, leave it to the vulgar Left to racialize absolutely everything.

But it's true. Presidents using a teleprompter at their speeches and press outings was never an issue until Obama got on.

One thing I do remember, though...was when Obama went to that Republican retreat that they invited him to, in order to field questions.

He was at the podium with no teleprompter and he housed every fucker who tried to stump him with their questions. He even told them he wasn't tired at the end and to keep comin' with it.

oh yeah, here it is:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/richard-adams-blog/2010/jan/29/barack-obama-republicans

they never invited him to anything again after that smoke and have yet to try it again with Biden.

so yeah, it is a bunch of racist bullshit when it was directed at Obama and it is a bunch of ableist bullshit when it's directed at Biden. And that's how you righty fucks always operate. Tear people down for not being fucking perfect shining celestials while sucking on the cock of bullshit artists like Cheeto.

Facts! This board is so outdated, needs a rep feature.

Anyone who has worked with people with speech impediments know that one of the therapies utilized is to slow down the manner of speech, using breathing techniques. Queen Elizabeth's father, King George VI, also had a severe stuttering problem and utilized this method. I wouldn't expect those assholes to understand.

They must have forgotten how their idol said one thing one day and claimed to forgot what the fuck he said among other things.

Trump Says 'Melania Really Wanted to Be With' Irma First Responders—While She's Standing Right There

That was the extent of his entire presidency.

It's all bullshit with those Trumptards.

No, this is the thoughts of the racist left being projected....thus the "dogwhistle".

Oh, the Republicans understand just fine. Remember during the first debate when Trump interrupted Biden constantly? He was trying to trigger Biden's stutter.

It’s in the playbook: blame the opposition for something you’re doing.

It was always a tell with Trump. He'd pull something he claimed someone else was doing out of left field. It was a tell that that was what he was doing.

Just like when he said "A lot of people don't know..." it was almost always something most people do in fact know, and you just knew he had just learned it himself and assumed no one else had known because how could they if a genius like him didn't? Almost always, except when the reason why "a lot of people" didn't know it was because it wasn't true.
