Epic ride today doing the Colorado National Monument loop: 33.79 miles with 2,474 ft of climbing and 2,486 ft descent topping off at an elevation of 6,600 ft. Not bad considering I live and ride a very flat terrain.
Impressive part is that it felt like a gremlin was ripping his way out of my uterus the entire ride. I am superwoman! Fuck Mother Nature.
First, spin bikes as a whole are not comfortable.
Second, the cushiony seats are actually less comfortable in the long run. Sometimes it takes a lot of tries to find the right saddle. Some bike shops allow you to try it out and return it until you have one your like. I use the lithia gel and find it super comfy. The open part allows the vagina a place to hang out without getting smashed to pieces.
Third, invest in a GOOD pair of cycling shorts. That is one of the most important things to buy in tems of a comfortable ride. I like Sugoi.
As you get acclimated to being in the saddle , you will be sore at first but it does go away. I can ride about 50 miles before I start getting sore.
Welcome to cycling! I love the air on my face and being in nature. It's fun!

Because sometimes people need reminders.
