In 1959, a coffee maker was an optional extra in Volkswagen cars.
The Hertella Auto Kaffeemachine was the first and only known dashboard-mounted coffee maker. Manufactured in 1959 specifically for the Volkswagen Beetle, it came with porcelain cups which could stick to the machine magnetically.

Apparently it made terrible coffee - essentially brewed coffee "tea style"

If design improvements can be made so it produces good/excellent coffee, I'd like this as an option on our next car! Lol

I think people underestimate how important the daily intimacies matter in a relationship. What are you doing? How's work? School? Did you eat? What's for dinner? How's your dog? What's the weather where you are? What's on your list? You doing okay?

Yes, perfectly said, Cas. We need that connection especially if you aren't in the same household. Or during work hours. It's just a wonderful way to show you are thinking of each other.
