I actually like it. The world is quiet.

Yes it is. It's been 20 years since I regularly did overnights. I never have forgotten the special peace of it. And when I want it, I know where (when?) to find it.

There's something about doing it for other people that makes it so much easier than doing it for myself. If it's for me, I will go the absolute path of least resistance and make a plain ol' nothing meal. Cooking and baking for others...they get like a table full of stuff and then desserts.

Probably best not to dive into the psychology of that

This is a top shelf pic. I see lots of hot pics in threads. But this one speaks. It is the shadows. It is the ear ring. It is the bound leather around the writing pad.

I'm going to make cornbread a chili for my friend who's mother is in the hospital. It's her comfort food: cornbread and chili is her language of love.
