bfg's hideout

Hi BFG, * big hugs, and snuggles in beside you* Hope you doing well and feeling on top the world.

Smiles... I like that story......
Well I hope you are well, and please keep on smiling as much s you can :)

Thank you, I'm trying to think about good things. Hoping my headache goes away long enough to write today. Hope you're having a good one!

Hi, Rusty...thanks for the hugs, they are always welcome...don't hog the blankets, I love blankets! I am well, thank you. Just have a huge headache.

I hate headaches BFG luckily I don't suffer with them often. I'm sending over a cyber hug and a sisterly kiss to your cheek. You may not feel like it but water and lots of it restores the balance. :rose:

Yes, Ma'am... water it is, though it's horrible lol. *adds frozen berries*

Hi BFG, Thanks for the invite to your special hideout. Love what you've done with the place *looks around then back at the hostess* The scenery's beautiful around here *winks*

Big hugs from me too, hope the head clears :rose:

Thank you, SV. I'm sure that the extra water helped. GG is a good nurse. ;)

Hi, Teagan, I'm glad you found it way up in the hills, in the dark even! *smiling* Have a seat, can I get you a drink of water?

Why thank you BFG, I'd love a drink of water. Any excuse I can have to stick around a little longer, I'll definitely take it. The bushes I ran into in the dark on those hills were killer!

Sorry to hear about the headaches. I know I'm new here, but still here's a hug to feel better *hugs*

Thanks for the compliment. When we go for our exercises in the army we HAVE to keep ourselves hydrated. Otherwise toxins build up and headaches come. Personally I drink about 6 pints a day. AND I love vodka & tonic too :cattail:

You'd put water in a decent malt????

I prefer a lump of ice, but there are some that would call me a heretic! lol
A little water is acceptable to help enhance the taste. You used to find small taps on the bar tops so you could add a dribble to your glass.
Now however you will normally be offered a small jug of water.

And indeed, each to his own preference, I say :). *tips proverbial hat* The world would be such a dull place if we were all the same (or even always played to the rules ;)). I have a personal liking for Bushmills Black Label Irish, and my father-in-law would have had me shot for having water (or mixers) in the same room, lol!!!

Yes, well anyone adding Coke or any oher such liquid to Whisky or Whiskey should be taken outside and given a good "talking to"!

Edit: JD doesn't fall in that bracket, but then I would call that Bourbon

You may be new to posting in the forums, but you aren't new to me. Thanks for the hug!

I'll have to PM you about the first time I got drunk on vodka, since it was a tender age! I don't think I've had it since!

You two gents will probably flog me, but I've never had a malt with water, I was naughty and drank my first JD from a bufferin bottle snuck in school (the stories I could tell lol). My dad would drink Jim Beam with water added, but in those years, he drank more water than he thought!! Hahaha. Yes! One day he figured it out!

Now, sometimes I mix my Red Stag with lemonade, sometimes not. But, I keep that bottle in the freezer because I like it cold.

As you know BFG because of my past I love 'First Time Stories' even if its about vodka :cattail:

PS Two weeks until my man gets back - its been so long I feel like a virgin again lol.

Oh, you've nothing to worry about there, whatever works for you :). To be honest, I rarely drink these days; I worry too much about saying something I won't regret, or doing something I might....

Evening GG :)

Evening GG :)

Evening SV, I've just finished writing reports (the bane of a soldier's life), catching up on my threads then I've got a call booked with my fiancée. He's got plans for me when he's back. No idea what they are

Thank you, I'm trying to think about good things. Hoping my headache goes away long enough to write today. Hope you're having a good one!

Thank you! I'm drinking the recommended water along with ginger ale, especially since little princess so lovingly gave me her fever.

How is your week going?

Well she should be punihsed by the Hague Court for Bio warfare:)

I hope you are getting better :cattail:

My week is slow, yet busy if that isn't a huge contradiction...

The best thing for a fever is to be lovingly waited on hand and foot. Can I get you some chicken noodle soup BFG? Hope you're feeling better really soon.
Thank you, Teagan. I'll give you my recipe for Chicken and Rice, it works wonders. I simply don't have the inclination to shop and prepare it.

She should, yes!
I am, it just takes some time, and a lot of cranberry juice (where's that Vodka, GG?).
You only have to get through one more day, and you will have a weekend. I hope you have a nice one planned!
