bfg's hideout

The new trousers are a lot more comfortable than the old Service Dress, on a hot day, the back of my thighs would itch terribly in the heat....

But even the light weight uniforms are hell in hot humid weather. We wore them in Afghanistan - used to lose pounds of body weight in perspiration.

Been measured for my Officer's Dress Uniform for our Passing Out Parade in September.

The best of luck for the reminder of your course. Last time I was at the Academy, I was watching a good friend pass out on his Vicars & Tarts course. He is now a military GP

Thanks. We're having a fancy dress party when our course ends. Game of Thrones meets Doctor Who Theme.

Ok. Off to the common room for lunch then 'COME ON ANDY MURRAY' See you later

Good morning, everyone! It's good to see you are having a good day. Thank you, HSG, for the note and flower. :rose:
I am going to be busy in my day, as well, between packing and and children trying to keep everything, grrrrr.:)

Good afternoon, hope the packing goes well...

And just crack the whip, get the children assisting :)

Are you moving house if I recall correctly?

You made me laugh...if they're helping, then I can't get rid of toys! Thankfully, their little friends have taken them outside to play ball.

Yes, I still have all summer to sort, toss, sell, or pack! :D

Well done Djocovic - just too good for Andy Murray on the day.

BFG, I don't envy you moving. GG and I will have it in the autumn but for us it's not like moving home. We've lived out of suite cases since we joined the army.

Sometimes, I think that is easier! But, sometimes that gets old, too, because you'd like to have something to keep and 'make it a home', right?

If it weren't for the children's toys (I'm talking all the Playmobil: dollhouse, police and first stations, farm house, forts, ships, and that big flipping plane) and all the school curriculum/books/crafts, I'd have nothing!

Except for my Pampered Chef! LOL

Strange thing is this time last year GG & I didn't know each other although there is a photograph of us together on our recruitment day, in the same room ordering Pizza. Now we're inseparable- closest friend I've ever had.

The good thing is we work so well together we are to be assigned to the same NRR team. Of course GG gets married next year and she says her future husband wants to get her pregnant quite early on. But our friendship will continue I'm sure.

Been an amazing few days and we still have two nights left. Taking a river trip on the Thames tonight. Then back to bed

BFG you're right. I'm EXHAUSTED! :cattail::devil::cattail:

You two have been through things most friends never will. It makes you close, and those type of friends last forever. I'm glad you two are so close!! That doesn't mean ya'll won't have other friends or relationships, just mean that bond won't be broken easily. :rose:

Give him a big hug and kiss for us!! He better be taking good care of you! ;)

O BFG we have been through a lot and later this month we go on deployment together again briefly. That's all I can say.

As for GG - if there was ever the slightest doubt of him not taking care of her ... over 60 British Army Girls from here would want to know why! She's very popular!

libelous!

:D

Of course it is!
We all know you're an angel, right?:D
Do you have your flip-flops (thongs) on?

I recall, when I was a wee lassie, that we called them 'thongs'.
One day at work, one of the captains was telling another that they had banned 'thongs' on the beaches in Florida. I was just getting off the phone and our LTC was coming out of his office when I turned to him, stunned. "What will they wear on their feet? That sand gets hot, you know!" They all just looked at me and started laughing.

The LTC is a FB friend, and he likes to remind me of that every so often.
