Unscientific

As I've said before when posting polls, this poll is unscientific and proves absolutely nothing. It does indicate that a majority of the poll respondents consider themselves better off now; that's all.

Just once, you could try dealing with what I actually say, instead of trying to put words in my mouth.

My answer to the poll a was about the same.

I did want to add the comment, that putting words into your mouth seems to be a waste of your other talents.

A great thread cause it reminds me that while some things are really shitty right now, I do have several things that are much better than they were.
The top two being I'm no longer with my, nor am I struggling with my emotions over the break up. I have a home that while is hard to afford right now sometimes, it's a lovely one. I'm in better physical shape that I was before, and getting closer to my goal daily and weekly, I have some new friends I didn't before, one imparticular that I wouldn't give up for the world, while my drawing block is still there, my one for writing has disappeared at times, making it so I can write again freely. ... Hmm.. sometimes nice to take a moment to list the things that are going right. :)

Yeah, I guess I should have made that clear. I meant financially, economically. Is your material well-being better or worse than it was two years ago?

This was what I assumed. I am in about the same boat as two years ago. But, I work for myself, and I can't beat this arrangement with a club.

Better off, though still corrupt, according to Redrave.
My employees (the people I exploit) are better off, too. Holiday bonuses this year, as well as raises.
One highly ambitious mid-level employee earned more than I did.

Very simple question. Are you better off now than you were two years ago, or worse off?

I can't wait to see the results on this one.

Me neither. Let's see, it's 22 people sying they are better off out of a total of 38 respondants, which is nearly 59% saying they are better off. Not scientific of course, but it isn't the answer you thought you'd see, right?

Unemployment nationally is just under 6%, inflation is what...2 or 3% at most? Most experts can't even agree whether or not we're really in a recession or not.

Certainly not the juggernaut of the mid-nineties, but then we all knew those days wouldn't last forever. Things aren't fantastic, but they are a long way from bad.

Sorry RED, capitalism still has a bit of life left. Perhaps you should hide your molotov cocktail components in the basement for a little while longer.

Unless, of course, worse of was in the lead.

I'm better off in every aspect.
