Betrayed by my own mind

I mean, I was semi-blocked for months. I haven't published anything since November.

I've written over 150,000 words, but they're divided among two novels and a novella.

Serious writers block and a sudden loss of confidence. Haven't published since June. One novel in the early stages, 2 short stories needing finishing. One of those probably needs to started over. I feel the pain. Also, not sure what this writers group is? And you post as Annie?

Our Profile page describes it. Four authors from a writing group, who discovered we all were interested in writing erotica, plus it's a way to get feedback from readers who aren't also friends of ours.

It turns out that of the four of us, I'm the only one who really likes forums, so almost all the posts here are from me. Occasionally Rocco will comment on something technical. He used to do tech support.

The other three haven't done anything for Lit in a long time, for various reasons (including non-erotica writing projects) but Eddie, for one, is suddenly making good progress on a story.

After three attempts at writing the ending of another story, I realized the problem: the next-to-last scene in the outline doesn't add anything to the story. It's three manuscript pages of dialog in which nothing happens, and the readers learns nothing about any character that matters.

So it's gone. And another story is essentially done in first draft. I have to write the falling action, but that's short and won't be hard.

Pardon the stream of consciousness, but the thread is literally named "my own mind".
