Bethothed.....

Robert heard the signal for the first one to shoot. Lillith made her shots with a nice grouping. The men retrieved her arrows and he smiled at her. "Nicely done Lil. You know, Lil much be a nickname. I'd like to know your real name, I'm sure it is even nicer." He smiled at her again and then turned to face the target. He knocked an arrow to the bowstring and then raised it, taking aim. He released a split second later so that it looked as if he had barely aimed at all. The arrow flew true and hit dead center of the target. He pretended to look surprised. "Wow, that't the first time I've done that before. Hopefully I can get more like that." He took the rest of his shots and hit them all dead center. They were all touching eatchother in the middle of the target, a perfect grouping. He turned and smiled at Lil. "Oh, did I forget to mention I'm the best archer in the clan? Oops. Sorry about that." He turned to the men at the target and indicated them to move it back for the next round.

Lilliths eyes sparkled both angry and amused, and to think she had thought this was going to be one sided and had felt a bit shamful for taking advantage the rouge had let her think he couldnt shoot.. ahh well she liked a challange..

Ye already know too much as it is.. Lil is all ye'l have.. With that and the targets settled back for the next round and not one to be shown up she copied his grouping with the arrows all touching each other dead center of the target at the further distance and smiled.. giving him a slight bow.. as if to say your turn with out words..

Lil didn't look too happy about his little game of pretending to be bad. Robert grinned at her and let her take her shots. This time she hit perfectly. He grinned and congratulated her. He didn't wait long though, he turned and fired all his shots rapidly, all hitting their target. He'd barely aimed for each shot.

The rounds passed and they finally reached what he deemed to be the final round. He indicated for the target to be moved as far away as possible. these would be really long distance shots. Hitting bullseye on these was something not many could do. Robert had done it a few times, but it was rare. He would be very surprised if Lil could also get a bullseye. He looked to her to take her shots.

Lillith eyed the targets in the distance a little aprehensive as she had never tryed to hit anything that far away before, even moving targets werent normally that far away and ushually started off close and running away.. well now was as good a time as any to test herself..

She took a claming breath to steady her nerves and readied her arrow taking careful aim... she hit the target but from this distance could not tell where on the target she had hit... it looked to be in the center but they wouldnt know for sure until they approched it after he took his shot.. who ever was closest to the center would be the winner.

Robert watched as she took her shot. He nodded to her and then turnned. This shot he spent his time aiming. He pulled back his string as far as it would go, tilted up a little, and released. The arrow flew through the air and nailed the target. It was right next to Lil's. It was too close to tell from there. He moved over to Lil and smiled at her. "Well, whoever won, that was a great competiton. No one has ever been that close to me through every round before." He watched as the men near the target had the arrows and were bringing them back with the news of who had won.

There arrows had landed inches appart but his had been the closest to the center and he had won, Lillith bit her lip to keep from cursing before she bowed and tryed to accept defete, finding it not an easy thing at all to do..

Thank ye i learned from me mother.. ye are well skilled and i enjoyed the contest.. ye have won this round.. mayhap next time twill be i who wins.. she said truly meaning her words for she had infact enjoyed the challange he had offered he was a worthy oponant.

Now she had to figure out what she could do here to earn a living she could hunt sure but as a clan they would already have huntsmen and have no need for another and she doubted Robert would turst her out of sight any time soon.

If i may ask what do ye have in mind am i ta stay in the room i was in when ye thought me a lad? What can i do ta earn me keep i willna be a burden ta ye and yer kin, i would like ta help in any way i can be of use..

Robert had won and he smiled. He turned and congratulated Lil and listened as she spoke. She paused for a moment and seemed to think before speaking again. She asked what would happen now. She also said she would want to help idf possible. He smiled and led her inside with a quick comment that they would talk indoors. Once int eh main hall they sat by the fire. Water was brought for them. He looked at her and started to explain what he had in mind for her. "I would have insisted you stay even if you had won. You see, I understand why you ran. I also don't want to marry for anything other than love. Please, tell me your name. We can send a messenger to your home and try to figure this out. I have known many men and none of them would ever force their daughter to marry. In the mean time you can stay here. We will send messages back and forth until we figure something out. If anyone comes to get you, we will hide you. You can trust me. I owe you a debt of gratitude for saving my brother. Please, let me repay you."

Lillith stood with out saying a word and walked from the hall the only reasion she hadnt stayed and yelled at him was because she was to angry to even think that straight.. and needed time to think..

Damn she had known this was going to happen and why she had to leave. She knew if she had ever been found out that who ever it was would want to speak with her family and return her..

She didnt go far outside knowing she was still watched by the other members of the clan but not knowing where else to go or what to do she went back to the stables not to leave because she knew at the moment that was impossable but she needed something familar to her for comfort even if it was only her horse.

She patted its nose and talked softly too it as he moved around a bit nervously she picked up a brush and begain to groom him the motions helping to calm her and give her a chance to think over what Robert had said..

She knew he ment well and was trying to help her she would love to see her family again but even so she knew she couldnt go back not yet and she would have to be careful not to tell anyone her name ever... Lil was good enough..

She closed her eyes and layed her head against her horses neck as she patted him for a moment. Even if they were willng to hide her as soon as her father found out where she was or ehter of her brothers... no one could stop them.. something she was very proud off.. but also at the moment afraid of too..

ohh she knew they wouldnt hurt her ever, but she knew she was in for it when they did find her.. for none of them would be in the best of moods for having had to chase her down.. She sighed softly and putting things away headed back inside, she needed to apologize to Robert she understood his thinking but she didnt want to go back and she knew once her family knew where she was she would have no choice.

Entering the hall she looked around for Robert and spotting him made her way twords him.. May i speak with you again... i'd like to apologize..

Mora

Mora woke the next morning smiling as she streatched remembering the stories she had heard last eve and knowing that Angus would be joining her again today she washed and dressed quickly wanting to be ready before he got there.

She had the cloaks, and blankets they had made gathered up they wernt finnished making the cloths yet but in a few days those would be finnished too. She had everthing ready for when Angus arrived and so ate a quick breakfast.

Her spirits only dampened by the fact that she knew she couldnt spend as much time with Angus as she would like for her brother would be returning sometime this eveing if all went well. Which for his sake and the sake of there small clan that it did.

She looked up to see Angus entering the hall and stood to go join him.. smiling in welcome.

When Logan and his men arrived, he ate dinner with Brinna and Andrew. Afterward, he asked about Lillith. Andrew made sure Brinna would not interfere and answered his questions. "Ah, yes, I am sorry sir, but she had to leave on urgent business to my family in the North. My sons are there as well. It seems the Rosses have been giving them trouble. My brother sent a message to me asking for help, so I sent him my most trusted generals, my children. I sent them all so they can watch eachother's backs. We've all had some tough times in the past loosing family members. I do not want to loose a child. I hope you understand. she should be back in a few days if you wish to stay and wait for her. If you are here when she arrives, it would show her your dedication to the possibility of a relationship. That could help her loosen up and give you a chance. So I hope you will stay and wait. It would be our honour to be your host for a few days. If she does not return by the end of the week, you can go home and we will send a messenger when she does return." He did his best to convince the man to stay.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Robert was annoyed when Lil got up and left. He had guards follow her out wherever she went. He sighed and relaxed. A while later she returned and came up to him. He smiled at her as she said she needed to appoligise. He called for a servant to get them something to drink and took her over to the fireplace. They sat and he looked at her. They had recieved some interesting news while she had been in the stables. He spoke first. "So, Lillith Buchanan, other than an appology, what is it that you would like to talk about? Oh, and don't worry, we didn't tell anyone about the strange visitor. No one knows you are here, and they won't, not until everything is sorted out."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew woke in the morning and Ian made breakfast. They ate and discussed some new stories he could tell if she asked. He got dressed and ready to go. At the agreed time, he got up and went to the keep. When he saw Mora, he smiled at her. He was liking her more every day. He bowed to her. "Hello m'lady, how are you this morning? Doing well I hope."

Aye i am well this morn and ye? Mora asked thinking he looked very well indeed his clothing tho poor fit well outlining his mucles showing how strong he was as well as handsome she had no trouble beliving that he could handle his own.. Would ye care ta join me in distributing some o the items i ha finnished.. ? she asked and waited for his awncer

....................................

Logan did not appear pleased at having to wait.. and said as much.. Are ye daft.. i am tryin ta avoid a war with yer brother and ye send her ta the very mon i am currently at odds with.. i understand senden yer sons.. Hell.. here he stood and paced as he continued to speak.

tho i am liard i ha only been so fer a short time sence me da's death.. the men listen ta me fer now but they will na fer long if we must keep waiting there pacence as well as me own grows thin...and if i canna end this by marrage then they will rise ta war wether i will it or no.. they only wait ta see if this works..

Logan wasnt sure what to do now his clan would be expecting word of a bethrothal and his return with a bride. he ran a hand threw his hair and looked back at Andrew Buchanan hoping that he would understand all that lay upon Logans sholders and why he didnt wish for any more blood shead.. I will wait a few more days as ye ask.. but i canna give ye any more then that.. if there isna a wedding soon.. all is lost..

...................................................

Lillith sat with him unsuspecting of what he might say when she made her apologie but before any words left her mouth he looked over at her and spoke saying her name her full name.. Lillith gasped closing her eyes for a moment and let out the breath she hadnt even reolized she was holding and opened her eyes to look at him feeling a little trapped and defeted but knowing she had no where else to go and no one esle to turn too she had to trust someone. She hoped Robert truly was a man of his word.

Aye i am Lillith Buchanan... and i apologize fer leaving the way i did i needed ta think... and calm down, i donna know which way ta turn at the moment....what will ye do now? will ye send word ta me family ? she asked waiting for his responce he had said she could stay until everything was sorted out but what then.. in the end she would still be returning to be wed..

at least that was what she was thinking.. she had left making it this far to escape an unwanted marrage, but maybe she was being selfish she hadnt really given the man a chance and it would stop a war but she didnt want a loveless marrage ether.. I suppose ye will need ta know the whole tail of why i left so ye will understand.. and as i donna remember what all i told ye when i had too much ale..

she looked a little embarassed at the mention of the ale but continued telling him everthing fromt he time her brother Ian returned home to Logans entering the keep uninvited and her fathers inviting him to return to seek her hand.. Logans return and to the end result in her leaving and finding his brother in the woods. I must sound selfish to ye.. but no matter how great the caus i canna marrie someone i donna love..

Andrew smiled at the beautiful woman, glad she was doing well. She asked if he would like to join her as she gave out some of the things she'd made. He smiled more at her and nodded. "That sounds great. I'd love to see how you interact with your people and what you've made with the things you purchased and what I gave you. I hope you made a few nice dresses for yourself out of the finer fabrics."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew sr. looked at the man and listened. As he did, he tried hard to hide anything in his features that would give away his annoyance or opinion that the man was being stupid in his opinions. He didn't need to go to waar. Did he think Andrew's brother would attack him if there was not a marriage between them? If neither attacked the other, there would be no war. If he could not control his people and stop them from going to war, then he was not a very good laird at all. He also apparently thought that Andrew was about to let him just take Lillith away as a bride without any real relationship. He was not about to do that to his daughter. It seemed both the young people were not thinking right. When Logan finished speaking Andrew got up and told him to go to bed. They could talk more in the morning. He then took Brinna and went to their own bed for the night.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

He saw her react when he called her Lillith. That confirmed in his mind that it was who she really was. He didn't need her to verbally confirm it. But she did, and the appoligized for running off. She asked what he would do next. Then she suggested he hear her whole story and that she could not remember what she'd told him under the influence of the ale. She blushed, he smiled at her.

She told him her story and he listened to every word. He thought about it and when she finished, she suggested that she may sound selfish. He shook his head. "No. You are not selfish. As I told you before, when I marry it must be for love. I will send word to your father, however, my messenger will not say where he is from and will only try to find out your father's side of the story. I do not think that any man, especially your father, for I have heard of him and know much about him, would force his daughter to marry just to prevent war. This is especially when his side is much stonger that the enemy. So you will stay here until we figure out both sides of the story and come up with some sort of plan. I'm sure the laird will take care of everything and in the mean time, I can keep you entertained and show you around. I am the advisor to the laird for the younger generation so I get to stay in the keep and I can spend my time doing almmost anything I like, so we can do whatever you feel like doing and I will be here in the keep if you need me. You won't need to travel to the village to find me."

Lillith wasnt sure what to say she didnt think her father would allow the messanger to leave with out knowing her wearabouts even if he wasnt planning on making her wed as Robert suggested he would still wish to assure himself she was safe and not with an enemy clan tho as far north as she had made it she doubted they had any enemys here unless the MacKays and Roberts clan were at odds, but as she hadnt heard anything to suggest such she supposed all was well on that aspect..besides even if her father didnt get the infromation from the messanger her mother most certenly would..

Lillith shivered at the thought of her mothers wrath being spent on the poor messanger if he didnt give her the information she wanted. Brinna could be just as scary and dangrous as her Da if she wanted to be and was determend.. but not wanting to argue with his plans or caus him any more trouble than she already had Brinna said.. Thank ye.. well do this yer way For now she added in her head knowing that if she felt the need to flee that she would do so with or with out Roberts permission.. as to what she wanted to do she had no idea.. this was not her home nor could she go hunting or move freely about as she did at home..

Robert nodded, glad she agreed to at least try his method. He would send a messenger who would give the message to someone else to give to Lillith's parents. That messenger would not know where the message came from. A few days later, the two would meet again and the return message would be passed on. By this method they would communicate and there would be no way that her parents could find out where she was because the person giving information would not know that or other vital information.

He smiled at Lillith. "Ok, I will get things set up. Just trust me, your parents will not force you to return home until you are ready. Now, is there anything you would like to do today? Any place you wish to explore? Just let me know and I will be your guide or get things set up for you to do."

Mora/ Logan

Logan bid Lady and Liard Buchanan good night and sought out the room he had been given to sleep in. Wondering what he was going to tell his people for they would feel insulted all over again if he did not come back with a bride and would demand that they go to war.

His father had been a hard crule liard and Logan along with his sister had done there best to change the outlook there people had and show them a different way, but his father had ruled with an iorn fist striking when and where it pleased him. He was not his father to rule with hatred and fear, but the elders and some of the other warriors were already turning against him considering him weak..

They would challange him for leadership choosing a new Liard and then there would be no way to stop them even if it ment the death of the entire clan.. Better to die quickly while fighting than to live in anothers shadow dieing slowly.. Soon he fell asleep but tossed and turned feeling there was no way to save what was left of his people.

...................................

Mora walked with Angus and a couple of servents the things she had made neatly folded in a small wagon pulled along behind them as they moved from house to house.. Some greatful for the blankets and cloaks others angry and refusing to proud to accept them.. Mora simply accepted this but let them know if they changed there minds they only needed to come to the keep and she would have them there for them..

The last place she stopped was a widows who had taken in all of the children who had lost there mothers and fathers due to all the fighting Here Mora passed out alot of the blankets and cloaks large and small. Also letting the widow know that she was in the process of making clothing and wanted to get the childrens messurments so she could make sure the clothing would fit..

She introduced Angus as the widow allowed them inside and the children surrounded Mora truly glad to see her one asking if she were going to read to them today.. Mora smiled and said.. Not today little one i am here to take messurments of you so you can have some new cloths..

Andrew jr. followed Mora to where the things she had made were. He smiled at seeing them and praised her for her generosity and skills. He went with her and they distibuted things to the villagers. He watched her demeanor with the people of her clan. She really was a kind woman. They arrived at the orphanage run by a widow. Mora gave them a lot and then said she was going to measure them for clothing.

The children asked her about a story and she said she could not because she needed to take their measurements. Andrew smiled. "I can tell them a story or two while you take their measurements. It will keep them entertained and you can pull them away one by one and measure them." He found a nice place to sit and waited for the children to gather aropund before he started to tell them a story he'd been told when he was a child. It was the story of how his father had gone searching for his mother when he had been a baby. His parents had told him the story as a fairy tale when he was young and later let him know that it was true and what had happened to them. He told the children the fairy tale version he'd been told.

Mora/ Lillith

Mora found herself as interested in the storie he was tell as the children were and ended up having to take some of the messurments twice as a result but didnt mind in the least, and blushed when she caught herself stairing and thinking he would make a fine father one day the children were so enthralled.. not one of them was afraid of him in the least.

When she finnished taking the messurements she too joined the children for the rest of the tale even the widow who was normally distant and with drawn tho overly protective of the children was facinated by his tale..

................

Lilliths eyes sparkled with a bit of mischife as she wondered what he would think if she told him what she normally did from day to day at home, for she was as he had probably guessed from her archery skill not like most women.. Well.. would ye care fer a game o chess ? she asked and waited for his reply for it was a game many thought women were not capable of playing because it required strategic thinking..

Andrew noticed Mora caught up in his story. He smiled at her every once in a while. He was gald things were going well. He definitely had her attention and possibly her attraction. He expected a messenger from his parents that night to say whether Logan was returning soon or not. If not, he would spend a couple more days with Mora and make sure there was attraction there and the possibility of love, then he would tell her who he really is.

He told the entire story and finished with the happy ending. As he told of the final happy moment he smiled at Mora. He then got up and promised the kids he would return and tell another story sometime soon. He made his way to the door and outside after thanking the widow for the opportunity to tell the story to the children.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Robert waited for Lillith to say waht she wanted to do. The look on her face made him curious. She suggested a game of chess and he smiled. "That sounds fine to me. We have a very nice set in the library. I can have someone bring it here or we can go there. I am sure it will be a very good game. However, I hope you are very good, I have been taught well how to play chess and strategise."

Mora.... Lillith

Mora walked back to the keep with Angus humming a tune before looking over at him I want to thank ye fer comin with me, no many would thinkin such things womens work, and the storie ye told the children was beautiful.. such love and devotion.. she said smiling a far off look in her eyes for a moment as she wondered if people really could love each other that much.

She shiverd as the wind picked up a bit and blew her cloak back the afternoon air still a bit cool looking up at the sky she could tell it was looking like it might rain soon. A messenger came up the road and asked after the Lady of the Keep. I am Lady Mora.. she replyed and was handed a massave.. she opened it and read it.. it was from her brother explaing the situation, and his fears..

Mora paled because she knew if there was no wedding with the clans men already challanging her brother at every turn there would be no hope for them.. because the men would go to there deaths in an attack against the MacKay clan as well as the Buchanans for they would also take it as insult for the Buchanans daughter to turn them down.

when the MacKays and Buchanan's retalliated they would only find a few men women and children left to fight them and they would all die, and for what .. some land her father had claimed was theres by rights.. Damed scottish pride tho it was a good thing in some cases in this instance it would be there end..

Mora didnt reolize she had made an involentary gasp a sad sound as she read and thought over all that would come ahead.. until the rider asked Do ye have a message in return? Mora shook her head unaware that Angus may have read the message as she was because she didnt know he could read. Nay i donna.. With that the messanger left

Mora kew tho that before the clan could go to war especally senc they would be going against the current Liards wishes that they would have to challange him for leadership first before anything else happened. Her thoughts troubled she nearly forgot Angus was standing there with her until she turned and bumped into him.. Fergive me i am sorry me mind is on other matters.. me brother will be gone fer a few more days... here she trailed off deciding the less said the better..

She looked at the widows home they had just come from for a moment and wishing she knew what to do.. before excusing herself from Angus and heading back to the keep.

Ian joined his brother then and mentioned that the village elders as well as some of the other warriors were planning to challange Logan for leadership of the clan if he a wedding wasnt forth comming upon his return.. Some still thought him a fool not to have taken Lillith when he had the chance insted of trusting the Buchanan to keep his word, and so they had little time left. He also showed Andrew the message that there parents just sent letting them know Lillith was still missing, and that Logan was still in the dark and waiting a few days before returning to the keep.

If ye think ye can handle things here i'll see what i can do ta find out where yer twin and our sis has gotten off too.. i donna think she would head south into england, so i will go north and see what i can uncover disguised as i am even Lillith wouldna recognize me.. and i can at least be sure she is safe.. Ian said for having watched his brother sence meeting Mora there was no doubt in his mind that Andrew loved the girl.. he just hoped Mora wouldnt be too angry with Andrew when she found out who he really was and learned that she had been decived as to who Angus turly was..

................................

Lillith laughed and said Lead the way. truly looking forward to a game of chess the last time she had played had been before Ian left for england and so she knew she was a little rusty but win or lose she was hoping to at least give him a run for his money.. She followed him to the library and waited while he got things set up enjoying this chance to get to know the man across from her a bit.

Andrew returned to the keep with Mora. She was humming a nice song when she suddenly turned to him and thanked him for what he'd donw that evening. she also said that she liked the story. They were inturupted by a messenger looking for her. He gave her a message and she read it. She seemed very surprised and worried by what it said. She turned and bumped into him and seemed to have just remembered he was there. She explained that she was worried. Andrew was happy when she said her brother would be gone for a while longer.

She looked worried again and then left him to go to the keep. Ian approached soon after and explained some things to him. He said he would go search for Lillith and make sure she was safe. Andrew agreed and let his brother go. He went to the keep to see Mora. She seemed worried and he needed to talk to her.

He entered the keep and looked around for a while. Eventually he just asked a servant to tell Mora that he wished to talk to her and would wait in the main hall for her. He then went and sat in a chair and relaxed. He waited for her and thought of how he would lead the conversation. He would try to figure out how she felt about him. Then, if it looked good, he would tell her who he was and over the next few days they could develop their relationship. Hopefully by the time Logan returned they would be ready to announce a marriage.

--------------------------------------------------

He led her to the library and to the very nice set with hand carved, very fancy figurines. He got them in place and sat across from her. He smiled at her and let her make the first move. "Ok, go ahead. Le'ts have some fun with this. We don't need to be too serious. If we do, we will get too competetive and that is no fun. Do we have a deal? Don't get to serious."

Lillith agreeded to his terms and soon there match was started as she made the first move, hours passed with each capturing the others peaces.. Lillith had to accede defeat however for he was much more skilled at the game than she but she didnt mind for her it was simply fun to try because it was a challanging game which defanatly made one think.. That was a good game ye play well.. Me Da and brothers would ha given ye a run fer yer money tho.. she said smiling a genuinly happy smile sence they had met.

............................

Mora was puzzled when one of the servents came to get her telling her that the Merchent Angus wished to speak with her.. wondering what could be wrong she made her way back down stairs. Seeing him in the great hall she went to join him.. Angus? what is wrong?

The chess match went well. Robert played and had a good time with Lillith. She seemed to be relaxing and accepting that she would be there. She also seemed to be tursting him a little more. Most of all, she seemed to be having a good time. Robert won, but he would have been happy either way. She said it was a good game and that her father and brothers would have been tougher to beat. She was smiling and he smiled back at her. "Yes, that was a good game. I think it is about time to get something to eat. Would you care to join me down in the dining hall?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew looked up and saw Mora coming his way. He smiled at her. He always liked seeing her. She was just a very beautiful woman and great to be around. He knew he cared about her. That was why he was there. She asked what was wrong. He smiled at her again. "I need to talk to you, m'lady. Please, sit." He took a deep breath and released it slowly while she got settled. "I needed to discuss what you thought of me. I have something I need to tell you, but I need to know, truthfully, what you think and feel about me." He looked at her, hoping for a certain answer. He didn't even realise he was holding his breath.

Mora looked at him rather puzzled by the strangeness of his question and wondering what she thought of him or her feelings about him would matter for the fact remained that he was a Merchent and she the sister to the Liard, but she awncered him honestly none the less..

We hav na known eachother long, but i think ye a vera handsome, and intellegent mon.. I also think ye are fair and pacent too.. and would make some lucky maid a fine husbend one day.. why do ye ask? she said wondering if perhaps he had found someone in the village that he had fallen in love with and had come to ask permission for them to wed.

She was both happy and sad at this thought happy for him but sad that she would see him go, because she wondered if with more time the friendship she had started to feel would grow into love.. besides it was best if he wed someone else anyway for they couldnt be together.. She waited for his responce pacently knowing she would give permission to him and the girl whoever she was even if it would make her sad to do so.

.....................................

Lillith nodded and said Yes please that would be wonderful... Do ye like ta hunt ? Me ma and I would hunt along side our clansmen, or en practice sword play along with them.. mayhap ye would like ta test me skill on yer own accord. she said the mischevious sparkle still in her eyes letting him know she was teasing him a bit, to see what he would say.

Andrew listened to what she thought of him. It brought a smile to his face. He was glad that she thought so many nice things about him. She waited for him to answer and he decided it was time to tell her the truth. He took a deep breath again and let it out before speaking. "Mora, I have not been completely truthful with you. You see, I am no merchant. My real name is Andrew. I am the heir to the Buchanan clan. Your brother tried to kidnap my sister to stop the war between us by forcing her to marry him. My brother and I came back here with him pretending to be guards, and then I posed as a merchant and he as a local, so we could get to know you. I am sorry for lying to you, but we knew your bother would not like me being here." He looked at her hopefully, waiting for her reaction to what he told her.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Robert smiled at her. Then she asked him about hunting and doing other things. He grinned at her. "Well, let's go eat now, but if you want to challenge me, I'll happily accept any you make. We'll see how you compare to me and all the training I've had with my clan." He got up and led her down toward the dining hall so they could eat.

Mora sat there listining to Angus no Andrew tell her that she had been lied to and decived before standing and Slapping him hard across the face..with out thinking before shocked at her actions she looked from her hand to him and back hardly beleiving she could strike anyone.

That was fer maken me feel a fool.. what reasion do ye have fer bein here? and why are ye tellin me these things ? Why not continue to lie ? She demanded trying to stay calm.. altho she really felt like crying for being played such a trick..

..............................................

Lillith laughed as they made there way to the great hall to eat and upon entering her smile falterd as she felt for the first time a bit aquird.

The first time she had met any of these people they had thought her a lad and now some looked at her as tho she had two heads. Many belived a womans place was at the harth and with children not weilding a sword or travling about with out escort.....

some looked at her with some respect for the courage she had shown, as well as for the skill they had witnessed on the archery field against Robert.... but all turned to look at them as they entered.

A shiver of forboding went down Lilliths spine some of the things these men thought were plain on there features others were not so plane but she could defend herself if need be and would not cower or hide behind Robert.. insted she tryed not to notice and continued on with him to the table..
