SEC has the #2 team, 5 in the top 18, and 9 teams overall getting votes in the ap poll.

The PSAC. Its an NCAA Division II conference and always has 3-5 teams ranked in the top 25. Since coaches are the ones who vote, its not media biased and hell, there's none of that Bowl shit that screws things up at the end of the year. Playoffs, the way to go.

Which conference is Fresno in...

I hear they may be the next K-State.

(1)The SEC & Big 12 for big time recruting, and big time football.

(2)Fresno State and U of Miami for 'student atheletes' who would rather go to the NFL than to class, or who otherwise don't read too well.

(3)The Big 10 and the ACC for 'student atheletes' who do go to class (except for Clemson & FSU of course).

(4)The PAC I hear has good teams (and even some real universities where players learn to read & write), but they play too late to be on TV in the east, so who knows.

(5)The Big (football only) East, if indeed that is a conference, will settle for just being taken seriously. (Just what DO Rutgers and Miami have in common anyway?)
