Avengers is looking pretty freakin' awesome. I think it will definitely be the most fun I'll have at the movies this summer. It may even end up as the top-grossing film, although I'm sure some Nolanites will go see The Dark Knight Rises 40 times. 
Most things that Stan Lee is involved with have a good outcome. I'm hopeful for a great movie. Stellar cast.
Anybody see The Raven? I enjoyed Cusack as the haunted house writer in 1408. 1408 was on FX and they were previewing The Raven. It looked good. Wondering what others thought.
Anybody excited about MIB 3 in 3D? I like the idea of a young Kay played by Josh Brolin.

Dark Knight Rises.
The Avengers doesn't actually look interesting. There is a reason why they've only shown Loki and those squid things from the Matrix. It's because the Avengers are far too bad ass and they didn't bring enough villian to slow down those guys much less be a legitamit threat. It's gonna be fun but it's gonna be fun for the same reason the Expendables was good. Just oh my god Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and a couple of people I can't remember are all standing in the same plce at the same time! It'll be a huge financial success though.

I can't see how Prometheus will live up to the hype, or even frankly be good. It's an Aliens movie that specifically won't deal with Aliens. None of us care about elephant face and in the end that who the star is most likely to be. I love Aliens, watched every movie, read every book, have a mint condition copy of Batman vs Aliens and Witchblade vs Darkness vs Aliens vs Predator and I'm looking at this and going man. . .this will not end well.

I really want Prometheus to be good, think it will be a damp squib though. Not much else coming this year I'm fussed about.
How about The Amazing Spiderman? I can't get my mind around a new Peter Parker as I really enjoyed Tobie McGuire in that role. But I'm sure it will be interesting to see what a different actor brings to that role. I am intrigued to see The Lizard fleshed out as a live action Spidey villain.
