Bloviating?
I agree.
Are you actually accusing me of not talking?
That's a first.
Just iggy it.
I can have fun if I want to!
I don't need the loudspeaker though, that's just redundant.
Im not surprised a MURDERER like you would love it
Gee BusyBee, As far as I know I've never hurt a soul. In fact, I just scooped up a bumble bee from my basement and brought it outside.
Hey, thanks for explaining that to me!
I don't think it's insignificant that Sanders has no ties to the Democratic Party other than caucusing with them during his time in Congress, because it raises the concern that he might mount a third party run if (or really "when") he happens to lose the nomination. And it's hard to see him making the obligatory endorsement of Hillary (unless she goes a whole lot farther to the left than anyone sees happening), because he's not beholden to the party in any way.
I LOVE BERNIE SANDERS! I'm planning on traveling to Vermont for the kickoff rally.
I know he doesn't have much of a chance but at least people will get a chance to hear his ideas.
He probably won't win. But I doubt winning is the point.
Look at his focus: income inequality, climate change, and finance reform. Hilary is a hawkish populist (though the populist part is definitely up for debate). She likely leans toward big business and foreign government (We'll see how "Clinton Cash" pans out).
I'm not surprised at all that Bernie decided to run. He's going to push her-- which, depending on one's political leanings-- could be good, could be bad. Will be interesting for sure.
I don't think he will; everybody remembers what happened when Nader tried that in 2000.
If you are excited by Bernie announcing, take a minute and drink to the memory of Paul Wellstone. I wish he had lived to try a run.
I'd advise Bernie to fly commercial or stay on trains until the convention.
The self-described socialist aimed his fiercest fire at the influence of much bigger money.
“For the last 30 years I’ve been standing up for the working families of this country,” he said, “and I think I’m the only candidate who’s prepared to take on the billionaire class which now controls our economy and increasingly controls the political life of this country.
“We need a political revolution in this country involving millions of people who are prepared to stand up and say enough is enough, and I want to lead that.”
Asked by host George Stephanopoulos to comment on continuing controversy over foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation and their alleged influence over decisions made by the former secretary of state while in office, Sanders said: “It’s not just the Clinton Foundation.
“Here are my concerns … and it should be the concern of every American. Can somebody who is not a billionaire, who stands for working families, actually win an election into which billionaires are pouring millions of dollars?”
Naming prominent and controversial rightwing donors, he said: “It is not just Hillary, it is the Koch brothers, it is Sheldon Adelson.”
“Nobody thought that I would be elected mayor of Burlington, Vermont. Very few people thought I would beat an incumbent Republican to become a United States congressman for Vermont by 16 points. And people weren’t so sure I could beat the richest person in Vermont to become a United States senator.
“So I would say, ‘Don’t underestimate me.’”
