Nurses don't recommend stabbing people in the eye. So much good health teaching going on today. It makes my heart happy.

Agreed.
Everyone I know who gets the flu shot every year also gets incredibly sick with the flu!
I had to have the shot when I was piercing (health regulations made it mandatory), and every year after I got jabbed, I came down with a bad cold/light flu for the next month or so.
Now, I rely on being in general good health to boost my chances of not getting sick.
I did get ill earlier this year.... but it was a cold that got complicated by bacterial bronchitis after I had contact with someone else who already had it and passed it on to me.
And that's something I can't get a shot for. Stupid people who get so sick and insist on going out coughing everywhere and spreading their germs
